I found this gem (or so I think) and I went to look at it. I offered the guy $100 and he said okay so I'm supposed to go pick it up tomorrow. What I know about it:
It has been sitting with gas in the tank and the petcock on for 10 years. The tank is rusty as all get out on the inside but I can Kreem treat it. The rear axle seals need replacing and it needs rear brakes. Also the throttle is locked up but I'm sure that's because of the varnish in the carb. Everything else on the bike looks great and it's all original with the tool kit and everything. Should I go for it? Will I be able to find the axle bearings/seals? What about carb parts? I think I can get it going for not too much money and I think it would be fun.

I would buy it in a heart beat. You could sell the light, fenders and seat and get all your money back if you cant get it running.

I paid $50.00 for mine but it sure doesn't look as good as yours. And I don't know what its going to take to make mine run.

Well, I bought it today. The guy was pretty bummed because he said he had 3 other calls since I came over last night and one guy offered him $300 sight unseen but he still sold it to me for $100.
I took it to my dad's shop and started tearing into it. The air filter disintegrated in my hand and the carb was absolutely disgusting but I took it all apart and have the metal bits soaking in a carb parts bucket. The float was salvaged and I think I might be able to salvage the whole carb. We'll see. The tank will need to be Kreemed. I sprayed a spritz of starter fluid in the head and pulled the starter twice before it roared to life briefly. That's always a good sign.
Also, the bike looks pristine. I'll need new axle seals/bearings and some rear brakes and the tank fixed up. I should have a running mint 110 for about $300 when I'm done.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.
