So i'm rebuilding my 185s carb and like all real men I took it apart without looking at how things go back together...ok not really I did it by the book. But after I dissassembled the slide (took out the needle, spring, and clip that's supposed to hold the needle down) I can't figure out how to put the clip back in...It looks like the clip somehow goes on top of the needle and under the spring so the needle stays down but i'm not sure how. If you know how to reassemble this let me know, Thanks! By the way I don't mean the clip that inserts into the notch to dictates lean-rich. The clip i'm talking about is v shaped and the ends curl a little bit.

the clip lays flat on top of the needle and its clip, under the spring. I usually use a pair of needle nose pliers to put it in place, aligning the open part of the clip with the slot in the slide.

there's a hole that the cable goes through then lays in the side slot and then you move the cable end into the hole. NOW you do this AFTER you have the needle in place and you put the spring on the cable and pull it back exposing the cable itself (the metal cable witht he small end)
it's mind a a pain, but it works. also make sure you have already put the cable end boot on and put it through the top.
