This is a tire another camp brought to our camp to see if we could fix it. The tire rattled when shaken so I used a pair of needle nosed pliers and removed the wood out of it. ALL of the wood you see on the tire was inside of it. For all you non-believers There was 6 people or so watching me do the surgery. lmao

We couldn't break the bead but we was able to put a patch on the outside and got him riding. It did hold up too.

I'll back ya on this one Howdy! Was there for the whole process. Probably wouldn't have believed it if hadn't seen it! When the patch came loose when you had it by the fire, I thought it was all over. You pulled it off and the boys rode all night on it! Hell it was about 1 a.m. when you got it fixed! Not good way to start weekend though, first starter went out on their Blazer, then the LOG in the sidewall of tire. Least they got to ride!! :-D :-D NICE JOB!! :clap :clap :clap

Yep thats proof that the 3WW guys will help to repair a golf cart! Got to love the factory bed locks on a Z400.
Thats my finger in the tire!!! LMFAO
When we pulled out of HASPIN I went and checked on the tire. It was still holding air and they were still running on it, that was after 3 on sunday afternoon.

I can't believe you fished that all out, thats amazing!

What type of patch is that?? It can be used on the outside or inside?? All I've ever seen is plugs but someone sold me a tire recently and it had an inside patch where can you get these?? They must help on sidewall or larger tears.

Dc- I believe it was a regular automotive patch. Can find them anywhere(auto parts stores,wal-mart,k-mart etc). Meant to go on inside.......but if you can't break the bead, patch the outside! :? Have never seen it before, but Howdy pulled it off. :clap He cut smaller patch in half (only used the one half and put it lengthwise across the slice for a band-aid,then covered entire hole w/bigger patch. Was a little chilly that night he so had to put it by campfire to cure glue.(twice-once each patch) Way to know Howdy!! :clap :clap :clap

Yep it was a regular patch. If you go to the store and ask tell them you need a patch kit to repair a tube. They will fix you right up.

Als250, Thanks for the compliment. As always I just do what needs to be done.
