I just horse traded for a 85 cr250r looks a little ruff but motor is in great shape thinging about doing a conversion too a trike. what's the performance like out of these and would it be worth while doing. drag racing is the main goal here

the atac sylinder is junk and i belive it doesnt offer any mor eperformance than the atc motor forthat year. they didnt start makign real power until 87 or so

The unbalanced cr would be harder on the chassis anyhow. There is lots to get outa the stock cylinder

you want a dragger, do a cr500 conversion :)

basicaly if you want a drag motor remove your counterbalancer and make somethign to eliminate the amout of rotating mass and the cr cylinder diesnt fit the 250r bottom end and the powervalved atac motors ran better witht he powervalve crap disconected and set manualy where u want the power.
