Me having free time and an internet connection means trouble. I had nothing to do yesterday so I ended up cruising ebay and craigslist for a while, before I know it I was driving up to NE Ohio to pick up an atc 110.

The price was right as I paid $90 for it, but of course it needs some work. I was told that about 4 years ago it just stopped getting spark so the guy took the ignition coil off and it sat in the garage since. So for starters I need an ignition coil and to put some tubes in the rear tires. For now I am thinking that I will keep it in running condition to use as a spare trike, it is nice having one that will fit in the back seat of your car. Maybe it will return to Ohio for some 110 racing.

I think I have now bought more trikes in Ohio then anywhere else, despite never living there… this is my 4th Ohio pull.

Do you have a video of the birth? I'd like to see how you get the honda out of the honda. Anyway nice score for 90.00, especially if you can get it running without a ton of extra money...

When I was looking at the trike I told the guy I would buy it as long as we could get it in the car..... :D

It actually fits nicely in there, I just had to take off the handlebars and tires and it fit fine. Kind of has me thinking that I should use this as my main ride when I travel for triking, getting 37 mpg in the civic is a lot better then the 19 the van gets and since I usually travel at least 2 hours for the big rides that is a big difference.

The trick will be keeping it hidden from my parents:eek: . Since I am supposed to be selling off machines (come September I am only allowed to have 1) they will be a little mad.

My dad encouraged me to buy the first one (he had a trike and a Fat Cat before me) but now when im up to 3 trikes he have started to go against me. Have a KTM 950 adventure, Gasgas EC300, Beta trial also ...and store most of the machines at his place so that might have something to do with it.

Just recently found this page, need to post some pictures if im able to find them or ill just take new.

Those 110s look like a blast especially one that u cud fit in a car (we dont have a trailer so i ride mine everywhere thru backroads and reserves and sometimes on dads ute when hes not busy) ive noticed that majority of the non running trikes i see have there recoil starter removed for some reason.

Bruce, it's a 1980, I started out on a '79 and the '80 is basicaly the same with different stickers. I may have to take you up on the storage offer, for now the plan it to hide it at Joe's house until my parents find out that I bought it. lol

Update, it is now a project trike. When I brought the trike home I put an ignition coil on it and it ran but had carb issues. I brought it over to my buddy’s house and left it there until last week. My dad hasn't figured out that it is a new trike so I am ok for now. Every time he asked about it I just say something about how it was the one that was at Joe's....

Anyways I was thinking of pulling the motor and putting it in the atc70 but I couldn't bring myself to parting a complete trike. So Friday I started taking it apart and painting. The plan is to make it into a 1979 clone as I learned how to ride using my brothers '79 110 some 13 or so years ago. I am not going to craze with it though, I will spraypaint the black and silver parts, automotive paint for the red parts. I hope to also try bead blasting the motor but I have to make another blasting cabinet.

Pictures to follow.

I can't say anything. I bought my Polaris jetski in Ky. and I live in Baton Rouge, La. Over 24 hours on the road, 300 bucks in fuel, and no radio.

I'd like to find a 110 for the hell of it.

P.S. Sights like this are pretty common down here in certain areas (this actual image was googled):

Here are some pictures. The next hurdle of fixing trikes in New York over the winter, this was my last weekend of temperatures warm enough for paint to dry. Hopefully I can get the heater to warm up my friends garage enough that I can paint the tank, fork, and headlight there. I'm sure my mom will freak if I try to paint in our garage with the doors closed (even with the respirator).
Ahh the smell of paint and Simple Green.....
