Just want to know if anyone has delt with this guy. I checked his feedback. He just received a neg. for not sending items. I won an auction on the 26th. He said he could'nt mail till july 1st. No biggie except it was'nt mentioned in the auction. I went by his priority shipping info with 2-3 days. No biggie but I e-mailed him to ask if he shipped it on the 1st and got no reply now for the last week. I'm starting to get concerned. Does anyone know if he's a member? I also seen he has sold alot of 250R stuff.

This is what I won. How much longer should I wait for either a reply or the item?

Things like this are always tough calls as we all know life happens. It's hard not to be anxious and I hope it works out for the best. The guy seems to be a decent guy so maybe you should give him a chance. Computer problems, family problems, holidays and such can really screw up an ebay transaction. I've even seen people that actually got arrested and screwed up their ebay rating.

Tread carefully Rick/ To me it depends on his communication. If he's not returning messages within 2-3 days now that he's supposed to be home I'd pull the trigger. If he's actually returning messages I'd continue to be patient. Just my $.02

He did finally reply. He stated the motor was shipped Tuesday. Did not specify if it was last Tues. or this Tues. I'll give it till the end of the weekend.

Well, he states the motor was shipped on the first of July. Gonna be two weeks tomorrow for shipping and three weeks as of Thursday from the end of auction. Should it take two full weeks to ship from California to Ohio? Of course his ad says priority shipping.........my *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited*! He can count on negative feedback. How much longer till i file with ebay on him. I've delt with Ebay for quite awhile and never had to wait this long so I don't know if I'm just being impatient.

Enough time has passed to start a claim. With him not sending any return emails.I would get the claim going.PAypal or money order??? You should make a claim. It will make him respond and send tracking info to ebay/paypal team.In all my claims,I have always received my money back.Even a front hub thats wasnt described as being painted.I received a full refund.I did have to pay return shipping. But still got the buy price and orginal shipping back.
Need any help with the claim just let me know.Good luck.

O.k. whats the timeline from when an item is purchased till you can still file a dispute for items not received? I don't want to wait till time is up and not be able to file. I'm just 'bout to pull the plug on this sucker.

I'd pull the plug. I think its 60 days or something like that. Pull the plug asap! He's been given his chance.

You only have to wait 7 days before you can make a claim. But only up to 60 now.It use to be 90.It is very easy to do.Just use the "HELP" feature at the top of the ebay page.Type in "item not received" and you will see what to do from there.I just made a claim yestarday for a set of yellow Tri-Z scoops I won in early june.I did not receive an invoice until July.Paid July 5th and nothing. Not even a response.
Just make the claim. You are in the right, and ebay/paypal will see this.

i thought you only had 45 days to make a claim?
and after you make a claim, its something like 30 days to escalate it or you LOSE the chance of getting your money back.
i just had to make a claim because ebay said to do so. they removed the listing or whatever. i dunno, but now im itrritated.

I hope you don't mind but... I sent the guy an e-mail. I told him that I was interested in the other 250R motor he has but that I was concerned. I had told him that I had read something on 3WW and that someone had bought a motor and still hadn't received it yet.
This was his reply;
"Hi this is Mark LeFave. My son Bryce is the one selling on this. Most of the sales are from him. I can vouch for Bryce. He just graduated from high school. Second in his class. The motor not delivered was shipped about 2 weeks ago Postal from So. Cal. The buyer won it on Friday and expected him to ship immediately. Bryce received the paypal payment over the weekend. He was in Colorado. He sent it on Tuesday. I think the guy wanted the motor for a race on the fourth of july. Even if Bryce shipped it the day the guy won it. He still would not have received by the 4th. It takes more than 3 days from Temecula to Ohio.
As far as the motor. Bryce has a dyno’ed 250r that flys. He bought a 250r to part it out locally. He almost swaped his motor for this one but felt he would get a lot more cause its so clean The motor appears like the foto and the bike ran tight. I got pissed at him cause he was doing wheelies in 5th gear in our neighborhood.
The pipe that was on the bike is listed also.
He is saving money for engineering college.
If you want to call him let me know and I will give you his cell.
Thanks
Mark LeFave"
I hope everything works out.

Why does daddy have to speak for his son??? What wrong with the #2 in the class? Cant complete a transaction? LOL Now daddy is making excuses for his son. I would just get your money back or just wait and see what happens. IMO Good luck man.

I would wait until you receive the motor or a full refund before leaving feedback.Leave a feedback that explains what happened.Dont be nasty. But leave a feedback you feel is apporprate.Negitive or neautral.

Ended Thursday June 26th. I paypal'd immediately. Within five minutes after the auction. I ASKED if he could ship it out the next day since, in HIS auction, it says priority shipping, 2-3 days. Lets see june 26th to July 3rd. That gives him a full weeek to get it to me. He e-mailed and says I'm out of town and cannot ship till Tuesday July 1st. This info was not in his auction. I e-mail and say o.k. ship when you can. After a reasonable amount of time, three weeks since auction end and two weeks + shince shipped, I'm still saying beware of this seller.
Here's all the correspondece.
JUNE 26
Dear mslefave,
Hello. I just paid via paypal. Can you please ship this item asap. I need to get my bike ready for a race on the 4th of july. Thanks Rick.

JULY 16
Dear mslefave,
Any update's? I've talked to my local postman here (I know him personally) just to make sure it did not go anywhere else in my area. He says he would have remembered if I would have gotten a large package. No dice on my end.

Why would you ship a large $$$ item with no $.075 cent tracking #!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something sounds fishy to me.Already you are in the right.Once you make a claim. He has to provide you wth a tracking #.That is his only way of proof that he actually sent the motor.I would start with the claim process.
By the way,his so called DAD responding to you sounds like a huge turd to me!! Go get your money back. You have been more then fair.

I don't know the details on the shipping of this motor, but if there could be detected any ordor of gas or oil the PO would not ship. I took a gas tank to the PO to send and the lady could detect a gas ordor. She would not accept it so I had to ship UPS. This gas tank had not been used in a number of years and there was still a faint gas ordor. The PO lady told me that anything that had an order of gas would not be accepted.

Everyone thinks that when they drop something in the mail or UPS that that’s the end of their involvement... It's not. There have been several cases where until the item arrives to the customer it is the responsibility of the shipper. It doesn't matter what the seller has listed in the auction about" their not responsible for lost or damaged items after it leaves their place" or if you want it insured you pay for the insurance". It is their responsibility to insure the item because if it is lost or damaged the shipper is the beneficiary of the insurance NOT the recipient and it is the shipper’s responsibility to reimburse the buyer for any monies paid for the item. The recipient bares no liability in the shipping process either for lost or damaged merchandise.

Well, I finally received the motor today. Three weeks and one day since the auction ended. I tool pictures of how it was received and you can see why it took sooooo long. The first pic is of the box that I assume the usps had to put his box in. Then there is his box. Notice the oil all over it. No wonder why the post office had it for awhile. Then the thing was thrown in his box with no packing or anything. I contemplating his feedback now. I AM NOT very happy at this point.
Bigbore or any others....Be cautious of buying this kids items. Shipping and packing are very poor. I'm suprised nothing was damaged.

Good to see it arrived and undamaged!!! That has to be the worst packing eveer!!! I received my 350x motor in a plywood crate. It looked like it fell off the shippers truck. But with the time taken to pack it very well.It survived.
I can not believe that 250r motor doesnt have any damage. I think you need to leave at least a neutral feedback if not negitive.Just state the facts of your unhappiness.

Ok, I would have to say my personal main frustration is two things. #1... is obviously the poor packaging. I highly suspect that was the main hold up on the arrival here at our home. Took over two weeks to get here.
#2 is this....Above is clearly stated he shipped on Tues. the 1st. Well, I was just out looking over the boxes and the USPS sticker is clearly dated the 3rd. Not real sure why the lie here. Two days really doesn't make enough difference to be upset about in my opionion. Just want a real ship date to work with.
Credit I will give it that he did ship in about a weeks time, however his auction should have mentioned that he would not be able to ship till later date.
Do believe we should at least consider contact with him to complain about packaging. Needs to know because in the future I am sure he will encounter people who are much less patient than ourselves.
Ok, that's my .02, thanks for reading
Well at least you got it.What a sucky deal.
I would wait and make sure it runs well, then leave the proper feedback.

glad to see you finally got it. i had a selvy 250r jug shipped to me one time in a battery box. The guy said he shipped it (once again, no tracking #) but i never receieved it. about 3 MONTHS later i got a call from the ppost office saying i had a package there that was marked corrosive so they couldnt deliver it. drove over there and sure enough it was in a battery box that said corrosive on it. pissed me off at the time but its kinda funny now.
hey rick, is that 46 stamps on the side of that box?

I just got the motor in and man am I impressed. I looked it over before installation and the jusg has a real nice port job on it. Compression is real tight. V-force reeds. Piston looks like new with no carbon build up. Clutch is nice and tight. And a bonus the lighting coil in the stator works so I have a headlight again. Despite all the B.S. that came with this purchase I am very happy with the motor. Since I'm not one to be a Dick I am going to leave positive feedback but with a warning about shipping.

Glad it worked out! Hows she run compared to the stocker and your old engine? Telling you dude you need to pickup a 38mm pwk. That'll wake that R up for sure! Specially if that jugs got a nice port job on it.

Ill call you when I get a chance but step it down to that jet you had before and see how it runs. Actually see what the plug looks like first (I'm sure its black as night as rich as we had that other engine) If its black after a wide open pass in 6th then for sure back it down to that smaller jet. What was that other one a 145?
