It's only taken me a few years to get a few pics and post them here. Was thinking about doing a resto on it when (if?) I get some time. Might be a nice retirement project sometime around 2038...

Nice Tiger, you must be the same Tigger on this page, probably almost one of the first to send pics of a Tiger to the site? Yes, please tell us the history behind it. http://www.3wheelerworld.com/tiger250.shtml

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, I had registered as Tigger, but that was so long ago, I couldn't retrieve the password and re-registered.
I bought it new around '86, I guess. Found it in Northern NJ by writing (remember when we had to write for information?) to Tiger to locate my local dealer. Turned out this one was sitting at a struggling motorcycle/ bike/rollerskate shop called Sport Spot (I think) in Wayne.
I'd been on an '84/5 Tri-Z and didn't like the handling/suspension/power of the stock trike, and didn't want to do all the mods to change it. I was 15 and the Tiger wasn't a sensible choice, but I'd made my mind up.
I didn't end up using it a whole lot. It's so hard-edged that it's pretty difficult to go out and just goof around on. Everything you do has to be done with anger and you can't let your concentration lapse for long. I used it down at the local gravel pit and never raced the thing. Most of our riding was abandoned rail beds leading to gravel pits and some woods riding. The Tiger was pretty lousy at that (duh) and I didn't really use it that much.
I had one crash on it, on a really stupid attempt at a hillclimb. Cracked the plastic and broke the front master cyl, which I replaced with new. (since then, the crappy plastic view window disintegrated and fell out!)
The footpegs were weak and would bend back when jumping, and mine didn't come with a grab bar or any rear mount for the pipe, which also required a repair from my aerial action.
It has the MX (narrow) rear axle. I replaced the Turf Savers because they got zero traction. I put these tires on, which got too much side bite.
What else? Answer bars stock. Magura controls. When I got it, I could barely pull the clutch lever. After borrowing a cable greaser, problem solved. Never had a number plate.
Can't find a number on the frame. Can you show a pic of exactly where to look? Will I need to remove anything?
It's always been garaged, but the stock paint on these was pretty lousy and it needs to be redone. It's complete, but not perfect.
I'm not actively looking to sell it because it's part of my youth and I'm attracted to unusual vehicles, and the only full-race, American-made, 3-wheeler is pretty unusual. And it's not like I could retire on what it's worth.
Now, if somebody offered to trade for an unmolested, rust-free Datsun 1200, 510, or 240...

Oh, yeah:
I sized those photos to comply with the 250K max jpg size. Other than posting a link to a web location (which I don't have), is there a way to post bigger pics?

Here is where the serial # on my 200 is. I cant find one on my 250. The area is the flat piece of steel in the middle of the picture.
