This is a FAMILY event, so bring the kiddies!

Lightning Raceway
82585 Craigo Rd. Tippecanoe, OH 44699
TimSr - 330-208-2200

From Rt. 77 exit 81, 250 West to Dennison
South on Rt. 800 to Stillwater
Right on Rt. 258 1.5 miles to first road on left
Turn left (gravel road)
Follow approx 2 miles to track on left

Cost is $10 per day to ride + $20 to race MX on Sunday

Friday and Saturday, trails and track are open all day. NIGHT RIDING ALLOWED! We will NOT be allowed to ride the MX track Saturday night after they prep it for Sunday's MX, but we can have it all day until then.

Sunday CRA MX Racing! There will be a 3 Wheeler Class! Since it is an exhibition class, CRA card is NOT required.

MX Sign up 7 Am Practice 9 AM Race 10:30 AM

For those who are not motocross junkies, all the trails are still open on Sunday.

I dont have to tell the OTC folks to be considerate and responsible, but be sure to remind others you invite that all trike rider conduct is a reflection on us, and we DO police our own. This may include making adjustments to vocabulary when children are present. Anyone is invited who can handle these conditions. If they are too stringent for you, this is not a good place for you. No person's good time will bring misery to someone else. Lightning Raceway has been gracious enough to invite us, and we wish to be welcomed back again.

Alcohol is permitted in camps for the considerate and the responsible, ONLY. (Alcohol and stupidity do not mix!) No drinking before MX racing.

Huh? I don't think so - this is just an trike ride with a group well organized people. Don't think for a minute that this is a wack of any sort. The OTC has all kinds of gathers very frequently.

Come on out, join the festivities and have a good old time with some great people.

OTC is known all throughout the Ohio MX race circuits now, and we have gotten a lot of good press and positive attention over the last couple of years. We have an excellent reputation, and while people in other places are begging to be allowed to ride trikes, the race promoters here are sending us requests to attend their events, because the spectators love to watch us, and the race officials wish other racers would conduct themselves as we do. We just found out that Lightning Raceway has been promoting our upcoming appearance for August 17th as a racetrack attraction. We are all pretty proud of that. At Smith Rd. I was joking with the owners about it being a 3 wheeler race event, that also allowed bikes and quads. We have made great accomplishments that no other trike group has achieved, so you have to understand that we are very sensitive to the prospect that somebody might want to show up and screw this up for us, so I have tried to make the conditions for participation very clear. It was with a lot of misgivings and reservations that I decided to make this a public invite, as opposed to OTC people only, because I can promise you that everyone of them is as passionate and concerned about preserving our reputation as I am, but we know there are a lot more great people out there that we would like to see become OTC riders who can positively promote trike riding in the Ohio area in the same spirit we do. If our conditions are not clear, and you have any questions about what OUR standards are for appropriate conduct, feel free to email me. If they are not acceptable then I can only suggest that you wait for the pictures our “OTC video support team” always generously posts. Happy Trails!

Tim that sounds pretty interesting. That is only 38 miles from me. The 16th is a race day for 1upfront but being that close we could still make it for the races on Sunday. If I make it I'll have a camera in hand.

I think that boy of yours is about ready for a little MX! :naughty: I hope we see you guys there!

I would like to thank you and the OTC crew for the invite(you too Mrs Mosh). Although most of you don't know me; I believe this could be a great way to introduce myself to you'all. I may not have a racing 3 wheeled machine to ride(soon real soon) I'll bring my Dirtbike and campout for the chance to meet some more of the Crew. Sounds like alot of fun!:beer

I look forward to meeting you there, and can assure you that you will have a great time and feel very welcomed by the most hospitable group youll ever meet. Looks like we've got right around 20 people for sure at this point, with another half dozen maybes.

Looks like our numbers are closer to 30 people now! If anybody else is interested in coming, bring it on down. Looks like most of the folks will start rolling in Friday afternoon. Lightning Raceway has been publicising the OTC MX Trike Racers as an attraction for the Sunday races, so we cant let the fans down who are expecting a good 3 wheeler show in this CRA race event! :w00t:

We will still try to make it on Sunday but as for the racing part The trail bike is still apart. 1upfront just put a new bottom end on it. It will be back together by tomorrow evening. He may do a little trail riding to try it out. We'll see what happens.

Well we just made it in.

WHAT A BLAST!
We had MX,Trail riding,Mini Trike trail rides(I think some of the guys were saying it was the funnest part of the weekend) Camping,good food and people as always.

We want to say thank you to LIGHTNING RACEWAY.
They were so friendly,and eager to have us there.They run a really nice operation,and the park is just perfect. AWESOME knarly trail riding,and one of the funnest MX tracks I myself have been on.We will be back,and It might very well be our new ATV park to frequent.The trails are AWESOME.
The MX racing wa great,and there were a few surprises on the track this time around.
Jake,We have a slammin pic of you skying that finish line table top.I will get it up soon.

We had about 30 people show up and 32 trikes in total.
We are dead tired,and we have only gotten 4 pics uploaded,so here they are for now.
More to come.We have 71 pics,and there about 6 more cameras floating around.
We had a few newcomers too,and they were all first class people.
The kids had a great time too,all riding their atc70's.
I will post more pics when I get a chance.

Thanks to all who came out.It was a pleasure as always to hang with the group.
To those of you who missed out,We missed you,and wanted you all there as well.

It was a great time. I'm with the Mosh's, Too tired to do much right now. Just got showered and relaxing on the couch. We'll get pics up probably tomorrow. It was great seeing everyone again and meeting some new people. I'm sure Lightning will become a frequent place for all of us.

Little dusty....but killer trails and a very freindly track. I couldn't get flowing on the track just couldn't see at times. It was good to put faces and real names with you all. I had a great time even though I was riding the dirtbike. Great photo on the OTC HILLTOP I wished I grabbed a photo from the 70/trail ride....something about big dudes on little bikes that was funny. More pics hucking it off the big table and....who grabbed the holeshot?:beer I had a great day, thanks for the invite OTC.

Just got home. Had a great time! Thanks to everyone! Hope to see some more pics real soon.

And I'm pretty sure I got both hole shots on the big 5-0 but Mark stuffed me at the corner in the first moto.

I definitely led for half a lap from the gate in the second moto. The battle was furious!!!! Mark and Bryan and even Jake were amazingly fast!!! Me and Mark traded rubber quite a bit as he took the led from me. I tried to make it hard as possible for him but it was inevitable that he'd take the lead. Those guys are just seasoned pros, freakin FAST! It was the best race I've ever had! Thanks to everyone!

Super time and thanks to everyone who made this such a great success! I spoke with Lightning on the way out and he is hoping to see us return frequently! it was hilarious watching everybody pulling in on race day rubber necking at the group of trikes. The guy from the CRA board was practically begging us to make more appearances at race events. Its too bad we dont have enough racers to keep all the racetracks in the CRA alive with a trike class. So many fans, so few racers! This one will definatley be on the OTC calender again. We came up with the official count of 39 people with our group over the course of the weekend, and 32 trikes. Awesome trail raides, loved teh death trap run, super track practice , and great racing. Lightning decided all trike racers earned a plaque for putting on a great show. A special thanks to the OTC pit support crew who is not racing on the track but always there supporting us, taking pictures, cheerleading, and helping us in so many other ways! We couldnt get it done without you!

Well,I had a blast.
I finally beat my arch rival.The guy soley responsible for getting me on a MX track with a trike.
The 70 trail ride kicked *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited*$.

I have to say congrats to the wifey(Mrs.Mosh) for getting back on the track and taking 2nd place overall in the B class.
You others got some great pics.Wish our pics came out that good.
The kids had a blast too,and that is what is most important.

When we were at the rider meeting,the track owner said...
"I dont know how you could not notice....
But we have about 30 3 wheelers here this weekend,and if you have never seen trikes race,you all need to come up to the track and watch these guys and gals twist the throttle on these things"

The coolest part was watching all the Sunday racers drive past our site with a line-up of 30 trikes on the side of the entrance driveway.I think a few people actually almost ran off the road looking at the camp site."look at all the damn trikes" they said out the window.....:lol: :welcome: :beer
One of the great moments when racing, is watching the smile on Sr's face when we have 10 trikes on the gate.The look on his face says to me,that if it all ended tomorrow,He would be happy with the strives that have been made.

The weekend started out kinda bad for me. I was sick as a dog when we arrived, but a little sunshine and some 2 stroke, I was feeling much better!

I would have to say that was one of the best, and most fun weekends I have had. Definately the most fun I have ever had racing!
Not to mention our little guy, Garrett, had a blast. We couldn't keep him off of his bike.
Thank you Tim for talking me into going out there. Can't wait for the next one!

Hey Daddio, That must have taken an awful lot of time to post all of those!!! Thanks so much! The only problem with more and more racers is we are having less and less photographers, but we all very much appreciate you and all the other OTC support crew that takes pictures and video, and the time and trouble to post them up. I will be totally done moving in another week so I will say that I am ready any time after next weekend. I'm sure 1upfront will be be ready also. We really haven't been able to fully enjoy ourselves for the last month. Lightning is only 34 miles from us also. When you decide on a date let me know so I can talk to the 110 racers from Brewster.
