can you make a seat cover out of some vinyl from a fabric store? The only reason i thought that i wouldnt work is because the seat is curved and straight vinyl wouldnt fit right. would it work?

Yes it will work. The bw200 seat and the tri-z seat I just had recovered are made from single pieces of store bought marine grade vinyl and look really nice. If you have a plastic base, make sure you have a heavy enough staple gun and make sure the vinyl sits out in the sun awhile or is very warm as it is easier to work with.

Next time I recover a seat, Im going to use some 3M adhesive spray on the seat foam before laying the vinyl on. The 2 back corners are tricky to get smooth without making folds. Maybe the Mr. or Ms. Moshman will chime in. They do seat recovering.
