I was going to keep it a secret but i traded my yz450 for a polaris outlaw 525 s! its a 2008 and its quite the bike, im going to pick it up tommorow if i can get a trailer, doing the paperwork and insurance crap, im pumped! Ill post up pictures on the forum, its the straight axle one. 5 year warrenty im paying for, what there doing is selling my kfx through there dealership and going to count it as a trade in too so i can save the tax, im asking $4000 for the kfx (for quick sale, theres nothing wrong with it im putting a new 400 piston and cylinder in it). Its a good deal for me i think. :naughty:

The IRS is awesome on nasty trails... but most people typically dont ride trails that nasty... the IRS has weird handling and feels heavy everywhere else..

I didnt like the irs personally, it just didnt feel like i wanted it to, it might have been different getting used to it but i just didnt like it. I tried a used 07 with it on it and it just felt so awkward, plus chain adjustments and sprocket changes looked pretty brutal.

I have a 525IRS, nothing faster in trails and harescrambles. You also never have to adjust the chain, no swing arm movement.

Congrats on a 525 you'll love the power. First you need to get it jetted and take the airbox lid off, most have gained 4-5 hp from those mods only, they come extremely lean from Austria. Lots of people swear by the JD jet kit I just used normal jets and moved the needle up 1 notch. Also a 15 tooth front sprocket will make it launch super quick and give a nice topend (84mph). I have the ALBA full exhaust and it added tons of power and was a fairly cheap price.

Sounds good, i paid for it all up front but once i get some more money ill get some parts on it. Mine is the straight axle, and im not going to use my lotto winnings to build it becasue im putting them in the bank.
