Finished assembling 84 200x engine clutch question

I finished putting it back together ... Has been apart for close to 3 years...

What should the clutch "rod" feel like (the one that the clutch cable hooks up too coming out of the case)

Mine just feels like a spring .. and well doesnt feel hard to move or anything, just doesnt seem right to me.

Anyone .. ...

It does have some .. but i think theres a spring inside the case on the oppisite side of that rod ... And I think thats the only tension it has ...

should i be able to move it easily with my hands?

No way. It should require the use of pliers to be able to move it.

Ya thats what I thought .. its been awhile since I messed with this so I wanted to make sure...
I'll hack into it tomorrow again and have a better look.

anyone have any ideas?
I opened up the clutch side case and had a look.. everything looks good, I checked all pieces are in there... it just doesnt make sense..

probably something dumb anyone have any ideas?

maybe there is some play in it. It might go part way easy and then get hard to move. try putting pliers or vice grips on it and see if it will move further than it will just by hand.
