Hey gents...

Just got a brand spanking new Keihin racing carb for my 250r rebuild. It's a 39 mm. I forgot to order a new intake, which is fine, it's on order now to fit the thing but I never though about the air box boot. It also don't fit!!!!

I've looked for bigger ones but can't find any. This stuff is thick and I don't think it will stretch very much. Just wondering what you boys with bigger carbs do? Heat it up? Force it on? Find a new one?? Help

If you heat it up with a heat gun it should go on. Or you can get a fernco (its like rad hose) fiting cut it down and couple the two

And he's also a fan of challenging people to a drag against his SUPER Z :acr

Hey, I like that! They had the Super Bee and now the Super Zee... Whattchya think??

Boil that boot and it will fit over quite a bit larger carbs.... Gotta do it while it's HOT and use tongs to get it out of it's bath, then RUN to the machine

The Z will go down.Nothing lasts for ever.lol:naughty:

The heat gun idea works the best.

Think it would fit over the manifold by heating it as well? 5 mm can be pretty big of a stretch.
