I'm starting to look at some aftermarket wheels for my SX project, and was reading another thread about a Big Red where someone suggested getting a different size (larger?) rim than stock so that you'll have more tire options. Is this also the case for the SX? If so, does anybody know what offset I would need? I know the bolt pattern is 4X110. Basically, what size rims should I be looking for to put on the SX?
Thanks,
Andy

a 10 x 8 with a 3-5 offset will work for you, that is what I have a set of paddles on for my SX.

I found the thread here: http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=86500
It was suggested to get a 12 inch rim with a 2+5 offset for this guy's Big Red. So a 2+5 or 3+5 offset will work on an SX too?

yes and no for the front it has to be a 3+5 or 2+4 or 1+3. Basicly there has to be a 2 inch off center. The sx has a different front hub then the big red. What could work well is a center offset like a 10 inch witha 4+4 and then adda 2 inch spacer.

Ok, so would the 3+5 fit both front and rear? Here's one I had been looking at. Description is "4/110 4/130 Douglas .125 Wheel 10X8 3.0 + 5.0". Link here: http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDetail.do?navType=type&webTypeId=237&navTitle=Tires+and+Wheels&webCatId=8&stockId=2997&prodFamilyId=8666#vehicleSelect Or here's the .160 thickness: http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDetail.do?navType=type&webTypeId=237&navTitle=Tires+and+Wheels&webCatId=8&stockId=2975&prodFamilyId=8667#vehicleSelect They also have the .190 thickness, but only in an 8 inch as far as I can see.
