have a tri-z cylinder with the letters JS engraved on the right side, just wondering if this is standard or not?

Probably not. Somebody may have done some porting to it.

Ya... HR,CT,JS,TR,SNR,Phase5,ETC. ... ain't no tell'n who did it... post some measurements from the Top of the Cyl. to the Top of the Exhaust Port and some pics... does it have the "EXTRA" Boost Port on the Intake Side ? ...

JS.... Jim Searles racing engines, Lake Stevens Washington. Jim did the porting on my cylinder. He started porting in the early 80's for the short track guys here in the northwest. Jim and his rider at the time Jerry Lasley ran Tri-Z's in the local flattrack series here. Jim was telling me that they built a Z that was nearly too much for Jerry to handle, that machine they had a modified KDX 80 ignition and rotor in. Zero torque and nothing but top end. The walls in his shop are amazing to look at. Trophies and old school pictures are everywhere.

Does that mean Ronnies cylinders have "GIR" engraved on them :lol:

I hear nothing butr GOOD stuff about "GIR" cylinders........
