OK so ive tried using the adjuster but it dont seem to get any tighter and i cant take a link out of it because it wont fit on to the sprocket. I had to be towed back from the trail ride today because of the loose chain. Any suggestions of alternate methods. We tried to pivet the axle back(it was quite a poor attempt though) and it didnt work. We were going to tip the bike over and pivet it back with all the nuts loosened but oil started spilling from somewere so we decided not to.

now i need a new master link as it came off while i was being towed with the chain sitting on the back axle and front sprocket.

Just loosen up all four bolts, and the tensioner, pull on it, HARD, keep tension on it and have a friend tighten up the bolts as quickly as possible. Then tighten up the tensioner.

Try to keep even pressure on each side or the axle will slip to one side a bit and make you turn when you wheelie.

if you only loosen the bottom two for it to pivot the top two might be too tight to move the axle.

Also the last time i tried to undo all of the bolts the bolt that the tensioner is behind it was extremely tight and would take some brute force to loosen it and its way tighter then I did it. For some reason. I noticed yesterday that one of the bolts were missing after that i tightened them all up.

I might be able to work on it upside down tomorrow as i might be removing the engine to weld on a shifter.
