If I didn't have bad luck I'd have none at all! :(

So I'm cruising on my property, going in third gear at a comfy clip. Get to a small log (about 3-4" diameter) I've run over about 100 times, but this time I hear it snap under the front tire then BANG and the sumovabich almost throws me head first into the toolies!!!! WTF???

The front tire snapped a piece of log out at just the right spot so the rest of the log catches the lip of the rim and DRIVES the #$%^&* thing right through the sidewall, and I mean THROUGH the sidewall! Look down and see my AWESOME new trike that spent the last 15 years in a garage and has less than 400 km on it with a destroyed tire!!!!

Then to top it off, I had to drive with my ass hanging off the left side for 3 miles to get back!! @#$%^&*()

Can you still get the Big Red style tires???

Yes, you can still get them through Honda.

So let me get this straight. You scored a big red with only a few hours on it and that looks like it should be in a museum and you've got nothing but bad luck because of a stupid flat tire?

Dude... A little perspective.

Holy crap "Dude" who shot your dog???

Ummm no, this post is part joke in regards to my other bike (250r rebuild) problems (well documented in other posts), but it's not made to be serious. I'm just sharing a tale here and trying to be funny. Yeah I was pissed a piece of wood blew my tire, and it's my fault but I'll just buy another one...Sheesshhh "Dude", relax this isn't a forum trying to feed starving children! :beer

Good and most eloquent sir,

Thank you for clearly illustrating the inappropriate nature of my infelicitous communication with your well constructed metaphor regarding the untimely slaying of our family pet. In the future I will endeavor to refrain from such simple colloquialism whilst formulating responses to your written messages. If my use of the above form of common address has caused any undue disquietude, I humbly apologize.

As fortune would have it, I also was struck by a tragedy analogous to that which befell you this day. In my particular circumstance, my luck was similarly exhausted. A distant relative of whom I had no previous knowledge and with whom I had no previous relationship passed away. In passing, he bequeathed unto me a rather large sum of money and also one very rare Italian performance automobile. As I drove my newfound inheritance home today...

A bird crapped on my windshield. :welcome:

Ok, in case anyone is wondering ERIC250R was right. I ordered the tire through Honda. Not cheap but not as expensive as I thought. If the other tire was worn a little more I would have gotten two new meaner tires for about 40 bucks more, but I'd like it to be as original as possible and I won't be going through any mud bogs with it. Tire is back-ordered though :( so I won't get it for a couple of weeks. $120.00 + tax!!!
