I'd say about 1700-2000 as a package in this economy and that might be tough to get someone to put it up

do you think those amounts would be the same for all models
(80, 125, 200, 250 and 500)?

Except for the 80 and unless you are talking about generation changes (earlier models etc) all the plastics are the same/interchangeable so it wouldnt make a difference....what ya got???

Then how does a 350X fender rake in 2000$?? No, I haven't seen it happen in 6 months, but the rich are still rich.....

if i had NOS plastics i would buy a nice tiger and sell the used plastic. restore the tiger and install the new plastic. then sell the "new" tiger!!!

OC, i never talk about whats in my game room and i never charge for ordinary parts. that has always been my game. i have given away over 10,000 parts since i have been here. My gameroom was like my 401k plan. But i am starting to fall onhard times. Family very ill, engineering getting slow, gas prices killing me. thats why i have been charging for so many parts. I figured the least worthy thing was my tiger plastics so i figured they would be the first to go.

I have to agree with OC.. There is probaly only 10-15 people AT the most that want/need Tiger plastic.. hence that is why it would not be worth more then $2k or so.. I have a 100% restored tiger.. But the rear plastic got damaged beyond repair.. So no rears for me.. But I really wont spend more then $500 for the rear why..? Money.. It will get plastic some day..

Barry,
why not go to a company like maier or someone else that makes plastics and let them use yours as a model to make them as aftermarkets like honda's and tecates. I am sure more people would step up and buy them. Also since they were your plastics, you might be able to get a portion on every sale. Might bring your more money in the long run. I am sure it would help out ALOT of people. Just my 2 cents worth buddy.

Economy is down. market for NOS parts have slummped considerably, but I would bet that if you put this package on Ebay, with a high reserve ,it might just surprise you. My guess would be high.

wow i dont think you understand the seriousness of these fenders! They are so rare that NOS 1986-87 200x plastic kits complete come up way more often than USED tiger plastic. I wouldnt want anyone i didnt no handle my used tiger plastic(if i had any) let alone any NOS plastic!

Well, if the buyers market consists of less than 20 owners and they don't feel a whole new OEM set is worth even 2000$ then I hardly see it viable to reproduce the fiberglass fenders in plastic.

I know what some of you guys are saying about there being such a small market for these. But that in it's self should push the value higher. If I had NOS TIGER tank and all the plastic ( still in the plastic nonetheless ) I would have to fall on some pretty hard times to even consider selling them for less then 10 grand.

Only time (and the economy) will tell....

I couldn't see putting up that much (except for maybe a COMPLETE Tiger 500) with the slow down. If it went up on e-bay today, I don't think it would go for more than $3,000, maybe $3,500. The longer the down turn in the economy the lower the price will get. :pics: :pics: :pics: Pic's would help though..............

I do landscaping for the DOD and we've even seen a pull back on military spending on up-coming projects. I'm sure the rest of us all have a similar story.

I'd like to hear who hasn't been affected over the last 8 months.

The "slow down" doesn't affect the wealthy as much as it affects the masses. Especially if they are in the oil business. The way I see it, the more expensive it is to do business, the harder it is for my competition. Engineering is down? I didn't get that memo. LOL Whatever, my marketing is so tight, I just take the cream and leave the bottom feeders for the chumps.
