I'm not gonna say it can't be done but I haven't seen it done. I just happen to have a tank and frame. Lemme get a few pics today if I can.

Man I feel like a douche. I've cut up enough 250r and 350x frames that I should have totally thought of this but dude that backbone is DRAMATICALLY different.

With A LOT of patience you might be able to heat gun that tank into a new shape but it would be super hard and not worth doing to a brand new tank.

Remember though, Clarke will make you any color tank you want in any tank they make. They make 350x tanks no problem.

The rear fenders I don't think will be as much of an issue. I'll check them out shortly. Your front fender is a no brainer. The shrouds would be the only issue but you might be able to paint them or pony up the money for a custom order from maier or maybe DC plastic on ebay?

Its looks as if the rear plastic could be done with a bit of imagination. I'd try it on a old fender first before cutting up your nice fenders.

Thanks a ton buddy, looks like im going rears for sure and my front. Im probably get a custom tank blown up and paint/pony up the money for bright yeller shrouds!

Thanks alot!

Did you give any thought to 300EX or 400EX rear fenders? I would say those would probably be closer. They make some nice aftermarket 400EX rear fenders.

Josh, I have some Idea's for ya pal. Give me a call sometime soon. 1-517-206-7635.

Wow Louis your quick. You just yank the parts straight off the shelf and start fittin LOL. Those rear fenders look good on the X frame.

While on the subject - how about retrofitting 85-86 rear fenders on an 82? Possible?

Saul I think this has been explored and proven to be very difficult. I would think 200x fenders might be a better option. If you do a search for retro fit fenders you might find something. Remember to try both 3wheelerworld and 3wheeler.org. There's a lot of good info floating around on both forums.

Derrick is right, I totally forgot about that as well. The 300ex fenders are REALLY darn close to fitting like the stock 350x fenders. I remember setting the fenders and seat from my 300ex on the 350 and saying wow, more fender options before I passed it on. The really awesome thing is that Maier makes redesigned fenders for the 300ex that are styled like 450r fenders. SCORE!!!!! Get you a 300ex fender and seat Josh and check it out. That's a really exciting prospect and I would love to see it myself!

Jason I got real lucky and only had one quick service call yesterday. The rest was admin stuff so I was around the house a good part of the day. It's hard to resist the trike parts when you're working from home. lol!!
