Stopped at a mom an pop - I hate chains. Anyhow he said ok I'll give it a try and we proceeded to the tire machine. He showed me the vertical breaker and said "that'll never do it" and tried his horizontal hydraulic ram breaker. What a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro! He was digging in as close to that bead as possible but it just wouldn't po. Spray, turn, press, sprasy, turn etc. etc. Finally it came off. He said most ATV tire shops have a special end on their breaker that slips right in behind the bead. I mentioned that a homemade model would never work on this and he corrected me and said they had an old hand model that broke anything free but it broke years ago. Maybe I will try to make one.
You guys that get these apart with boards and stuff must be lucky!

My dad made one that fits 8 inch rims that works with no problem. I broke loose some tires that had been on 185 rims since it was new. I'll get a picture sometime.

I have a homemade tire changer. Its nothing more than 3 pipes and 2 pieces of flat steel. It works on auto and atv tires of any size. The only tires I couldnt get off the rims were my stock blaster tires.I think they might be molded right to the steel.Next time I get my friends dig camera I'll get a pic of it.

I do my tires every season, all it takes is time and effort, I just take a wide flat blade screwdriver and stick it in the bead and twist, go all the way around the bead then it breaks lke nothing,,,,,,, yes there are more convinient ways, but it works

The Vertical machine worked on my rear tires but we still had to cut the fronts off at home....Damn things.
