1984 big red 200 tech problem

I'm new to this forum and looking for help. I've got an 84 200 big red that seems to have a engine issue that I can't nail down. After she warms up and I'm hitting the trails, she'll spurt, sputter and die like a plugged fuel line. I've cleaned everything from the tank to the carbs and put a fuel filter in. This did not fix the problem.

I noticed this last weekend that just before she dies out, I can smell excess oil burning thru the exhaust. If I park for a couple of minutes, I can start right back up and head down the trail with no issues... for a while until it happens again.

Anyone have any ideas on where or what the malfunction is???

Is your gas cap venting? Next time it tries it pull the cap off and see if it runs better.
