honda 250sx trx250 coil interchange

does anyone out there know if a coil of a 86 trx250 4 wheeler will work on a 86 250sx, the manfacturer list's them as diffrent part numbers but i dont see why there diffrent it's pretty much the same engine. any help would be appreciated

Most coils will interchange. I put my old 200s coil on a newer 400ex and It worked fine. I'm not sure but those are probally the same motors.
