ok guys, kinda unsure as to what i am going to do as of yet, so this is basically just a feeler for a price to ask. kinda ran into a bind, and need some money asap. so one of the bikes has to go. not that i want to part with it, but first on the chopping block is going to be my 86 kawi t3 project.

list of things it needs:

calipers rebuilt
bracket for the rear caliper
both front and rear master cylinders

motor & exhaust pipe
coil (has good cdi box)
carb
airbox lid
radiator hoses (i do have the oem's but you might want to get new ones)

rear shock recharged
front fender eventually, i fixxed the one thats on there but it was cracked.
maybe a few other parts here and there.

for the most part it is a complete roller.

new stuff...
both left and right shrouds
headlight plastic
rear fenders
seatcover
moose handlebars
progrip grips

i know this question is going to come up, so i will answer yah now. the over flow bottle is broken, i just made up a cover for it incase i ever got my hands on a new one. no the motor in the bike doesnt go with this sale, its an 85t3 motor and i just put it in the frame for some place to store it.

anyways, like i said, this a feeler. if i do end up selling, the buyer is going to have to come pick it up, i dont even want to deal with shipping. well throw me some ideas at how much you think i could get for it. im not the type to want to part trikes, but if i dont get what i think its worth, then i will have to do what i have to do.

Will an 84 Tecate motor bolt into an 86-87 frame with no issues? Hmmm...

Somewhat off subject but has anyone just tried to use a 250R or maybe KX overflow bottle? Seems like just about anything would work, not sure why this is such an issue.

Anything can be made to fit. Im guessing everyone wants it original. I dont see why no one has made some already though.

It will bolt in, but with issues...

The 84-85 motor exhaust port exits the cylender off to the right side where as the 86-87 comes straight out the front. If you put an 85 motor in an 86 frame, there will be interferance there. It will "bolt" in, though.

well i am in the same state as you so shipping is not a problem. I am not up on the prices of kawi's but i would like to add it to my collection, been lookin for a 2 stroker. Whats an engine cost for one of these bad boys? Whats the ball park your looking to get??

Too add what fabio said, I think youll need spacers for the lower too, but thats minor. I was checking it out earlier as I have a few 84 85 bottom ends and my 86 is stripped down.
