I'm about to take my last few items to be powdercoated, but I'm wondering what I should do about the handlebars. I could just have these powdercoated black or silver, but does anybody have some pics of any aftermarket handlebars they have mounted? Also, any recommendations on aftermarket handlebars and grips to look at?
Thanks

Depends how you roll.....
Moose makes steel bars that stink - 20$
MSR makes aluminum bars that look good but bend easy - they stink - 40$
Pro Taper makes Contour bars - 70$ SWEEEEEEEET
But you need adapters from numerous manufacturers - 40$ SAD, but necessary :D
Here is a set of the bars on my 86 200X front end which I also run on my 250SX frame......

An, yes, I run a 350X headlight on the 250SX too..........

Thanks for the reply DC. Are the adapters for attaching the bar to the triple clamp? I've already had my triples powdercoated and was hoping to just use some bars that would use the stock hardware. Know what I mean?

My local Honda dealer sells the steel Moose bars for about $16. They do have a crossbar, but I don't think they're too bad. I put them on my buddy's SX. They ride decent.

There is nothing wrong with cheaper bars. Just that they bend easy and with the Moose painted bars, you end up with scratches and rust eventually - thats all.
Yes you have to use the adapters because the Pro Tapers are 1.125 thick and not .875 like stock, Moose or MSR. I ran into the same proble, I had already PC'd my top clamp but the clamp/bar pad covers the clamps anyhow. They are also available in colors but I was in a hurry with my build :D

i thought pro tapers were 1 1/8 at the clamps? how much extra were the converters? also is that like a medium bend? im thinkin about a low bend, but feel i would be hunched over too much like a rocket.
