As I have mentioned afew times before I have a 200cc dual purpose 2 wheeler. It is a 2005 "Marshin Cheetah GY200". It is pretty much identical to a Lifan GY200. I have attatched some pictures of when I first came in to possession of it in june 2007. Now it in worse condition with no collar joint on the header pipe (making most of the fumes go straight out of the head and at night you can see blue flames at the start of the header pipe.) no spring for the stand. Lost speedo cable (Ive been through 2 and they are $50 each)and i destroyed the battery holder. All this damage happened off road now I plan to get it back to (or close to) its original condition when I first bought it as it was in very good condition then. I could also do with a new carb for it as I ended up ruining the floats on this one and the floats off all the other carbs I own are different and it is annoying having to take the carb off the trike every time I want to use it. I will probably just get an XR200 carb for it as they are easy to come by. I will be posting up progress of it. I will take some pics of its current condition but here are some pics close to the time when I first got it. It currently has a WOF (warrant of fitness - a safety inspection which all road legal NZ vehicles must go through every 6 months or every year if the vehicle is under 6 years old)but the registration just expired last month. The plan is to get it back to WOF standard. I have my motorbike learners licence which allows me to ride anything under 250cc. I use it at the moment but its very loud and spluttery because of having no muffler gasket.

How do you break that much stuff on a dual-sport unless you're smashing the living daylights out of it...?

Oh wait, Chinese. Nevermind.

I took it down to the river and on a few trail rides then it was pretty clear it couldnt handle it. It handled the first couple but then things started breaking. I took it over a jump which destroyed the inner guard and broke the tool kit

Also when I hook the battery to the bike and hit the electric start switches or the remote switch it doesnt fire up or even turn over. The kick starter starts the bike. When I hit the switch the neutral indicator gets slightly dimmer. Any suggestions apart from replacing the starter motor?

Also yesterday when I was having a look through my wires to try and get my indicators to work properly. I had my battery connected up and a spark came off a wire (I think it came off one of the 3 wires which are connected to the key hole as they got cut once and I had to wire them back together) and after that whenever I hook up the battery the electrics dont work. However when I fire up the bike they do. Does anyone know why that could be?

I know its not due to a faulty battery as it works with other electrical things i own. I re charged it the other night and I havent even been running it on the bike while the bikes been moving as the battery casing ended up getting smashed.
