Honda reed cages

What is the difference between a 250r cage and a CR cage? what year is the best? Do the atc's and CR's use the same rad valve? I am looking for options for my 480... I want to get rid of the old rotten set-up and put something with a lil more velocity.. I am thinking about making a custom aluminum intake that will match up with a CR250 cage and stuffer, or else cutting and rotating a rad valve to fit...

I'm not sure but 1upfront put a vforce3 reed set up on his 300r from a cr, I think it was for a 94. We opened up the stuffer a little to make a smoother transition from his intake boot. He uses a stock fl350 Odyssey intake boot.
