which one would be better for a highly modified ytm225dx: kg pro clutch discs or kg kevlar cluthc discs?

rig will end up having 10.25:1 piston, web race cam, dg exhaust, k&n intake/no airbox, bigger carb, ported head

if kg isnt that good, what would you suggest i get?

I personally would not think "highly modified" setup. that's a modified yea, but to me a highly moded would be like re-sleeved jug for like a 300cc upgrade and cnc porting on the head and blueprinted engine and carb setup, stroked setup, and more.

anyway, (sorry didn't mean to steal your thunder) i would go with the kevlar setup. but you need to see if it involves higher pressure springs. if not, then you may consider the pro kit. I'm sure either will work for your needs (my 200 is modified as much as yours is and i'm running a stocker clutch setup with upgraded springs is all). I'd go with the losser in cost.

if you upgrade tyo a 12:1+comp pisotn then that's when it makes more of a difference and that means you have much more to upgrade as well.

oh ok yeah i dont really know much about small engine stuff so i didnt really know how modified mine was or not compared to others but thanks for putting it into perspective for me! haha! most of my friends all just have exhaust and intake so i kind of thought going internal were pretty big mods. but anyway yeah i found that kg has a 20% heavier spring that i will put in there so i will try that. thanks for the help! and you answered my other question i just put up about a bigger carb (since mine isnt that highly modified i wont need that big of a carb)

do they have a 12:1 piston and 300cc kit for a ytm225dx?

they can make a piston to any comp you want pretty much (it jsut costs more is all), but remeber the higher the comp, the more important fine tuning is such as timing,m air/fuel ratios and such; but with that the less life it will have as it will have more cyclinder pressures and more wear and tear on the engine and system itself. this isn't just for trikes, but any motor.

these smaller motors are easier to tune and take care of, but they are still motors and thus require attention.

also...don't forget that anything higher than 10.25:1 will require at least a race gas blend. 10.25:1 is minimum 93

^ yup true, i forgots about that. well i thoguth that you coudl safely do a up to a 12:1 on super unleaded. i know on my honda drag car we coudl do 12:1 on pump for the street tune. but these smalelr motors may not be the same. each engine and type is different.

oh ok yeah i forgot about that octane stuff. yeah my buddy built a b18 for his datsun and he ran 13:1 and had to run on 114 octane or whatever race gas is. Rig hauled balls tho! autocross rig. I have a Klotz nitro KL-600 additive. will that help perform better with 92 premium? or do i need to run an octane booster? all we have here is 92 octane (besides race gas) and i dont really want to pay like $8 a gallon or whatever race gas is
