if i have a 10.25 wiseco piston, k&n intake/no airbox, dg exhaust, web race cam, and a ported head, what carb would you guys recommend i use? i have a feeling the stock 24mm mikuni will be too small?? or is it ok? i was kindof looking at a keihin d port 28mm. too big?

your carb is probebly fine. you probebly just need to jet it out to handle the new setup. That's going to take some tunning to accomplish. Also you may find your plug is to hot, you may end up having to run a slightly colder plug and adjust the gap in it.

ok. sounds good i'll try it. thanks for the help! if in the end i have a giant jet would a 28mm carb be WAY too big or could i lean it out enough for it to work? in the end, would it be bettr to stay with my carb or would i get more power out of a bigger carb?

probebly not, but think about it like this. if your intake to the engine and the head openign is only so big, it doesn't matter how big a jug you stick on it, it's only going to flow so much. you'll probebly get beter performance by port matching the it and carb openings, and the gaskets and ensuring there's no lip for flow to get caught on.

thats what i meant i mean. if i put a bigger carb on i was going to do some work to expand everything to whatever mm the carb was. but if it wont make me any more power it will save me a lot of work to stay stock thats for sure!

i was goin to go with a Keihin D port. good choice?? and yeah haha i will need a LOT of jets and spark plugs! We have really good atv and bike shop around here so they probably could get it in the ball park for me to begin with so i dont spend a so much on jets cuz keihin jets are like 2.50 a piece!

speaking of jets, (sorry not meaning to thread jack) where can i find more jet sizes for a stocker 200 carb? (think it's 22mm?)

is it a mikuni like mine? i think all mikuni jets are the same, not quite sure tho. i went in to my local bike shop with my main jet from mine and they had them. then i blew my piston so i didnt get one so i never saw what they had.

Nope, on Mikuni main jets there are short round, tall round, tall hex, and short hex. As for the pilot there are several different style's also. Im sure he need the short round for a atc 200 unless its an X or XR carb then its tall hex.
