This is a little different then most builds. i am using a 85 250r chassis and a 1990 kx500 engine with tecate plastics.

WHY, WHY ,WHY???????? you ask...

Well i hate trying to find parts for a tecate and the selection is so limited. i wanted a 6 over swing arm and a decent aftermarket selection for the chassis.

i also had ALL these parts laying around collecting dust. So that being said here it goes.

1st is the build up and then i will make it pretty.

engine mounting.

this was harder then i thought it would be. i had to cut the cradle out and build a new one. it is only tacked in right now. most all welds are just tacked at this point. all bracing will come before paint.

the tank flips forward, the front mount is a pivot. one bolt pulled and you can get to the plug and top of the carb. you can also easly change the plug from the right side.

sorry this is fuzzy. the rear fenders come off just like a honda. how many T3 owners wish they could do that???

front lower pipe mount. this is a custom pipe for a kx500 in a 250r chassis.

not much new today. I fabbed up the rest of the exhaust. the exhaust has 4 hangers and 4 springs to hold it in place.

Actually I'll be honest and say that purple with a green frame and fenders, would look pretty sweet.

Why can't you? Aren't you using the Honda rear end on your KXT500?Hondawasaki, disregard my previous question. I went back and looked at your build thread, and I see you've substantially modified a 250R swingarm.
