I looked it over again and couldn't find any numbers. the slide is a flat slide, not a round or "D" slide if that means anything. The needle seat for the float is plastic and removable, and there are two floats inside.

Iv'e had LOTS of friends run them Mikuni Carb's.. they are NICE with the rear power jet installed... the PWK Came out with the "D" slide because Mic had the "FLAT SIDE" patented... the only problem is the carb is so high it tends to touch and rub the bottom of the 85-86 Gas Tanks.. is it a 38mm?

I am thinking it is a 38mm because it is bigger than my stock one. I need to know what size the stock jet is in these carbs and I need to find an air fuel adjustment screw because mine fell out. For now I am borrowing an air fuel screw from a buddies XLT 500 sled. It has mikuni carbs on it.

it's a mikuni tm . they had them from 24mm to 38mm. without numbers it's hard to say for sure what size it is. I'm running a 38mm on one of my 250r's and it's a good carb.

I am gonna guess 38mm because I had to stretch in intake boots over the carb. Is there a number on your carb? If so where is it located? Do you know where I can get parts for it? Also what size jets are you running, and what does TM stand for? Sorry for all the questions, you are the first person who has had any info for me.

tm just is the model not sure what it stands for though. I'm not sure of the jet size. I can look for he part number when I get a chance I know it should be on there some were. I'm running a 180 main jet but that might not be right for you I have a few mods on mine. parts can be gotten at any bike shop or online sudco is the main supplier for these though. also don't confuse it withe the tmr the parts on that carb are a little different.

I found a parts breakdown of the carb here:

http://www.cyclewareables.com/pages/mikuni_tmseries_tmx_35_38_parts_diagrams/tms_tmx35_and_38_parts_diagram.htm

The only thing I am confused about is the jets for this carb run different numbers. The main jet in the carb right now is a 350. The carb came off of an 86 TRX250R. If the carb has the stock jets it should run fine on my piped 85 ATC250R not? Well I can't get my 250R to idle at all with this carb. I am sure it is too rich at an idle because I let it idle and then pulled the plug and the plug was wet.

Edog why do you say I stole it?
