I have an oil leak on the front rocker arm cover thingy on my 350x motor. I got a top end gasket kit a while back but I dont think the little rubber oring thats in ther is the problem. (if it is,, is that gasket included in the kit? cant seem to locate it) I think one of the bolt holes are stripped and thats whats causeing the leak. it's no big deal really, but if your anal about things like I am. it just eats away at ya. whats the quickest and easiest fix for this?

ive had those covers off a few times and they never felt stripped or beat up at all.
i would just pull the covers, clean all of the oil off the caps and head, throw a small bead of silicone on the cover and reinstall the cap.
make sure there isnt any extra silicone than needed...dont want it in your head
or, order new orings and use them in conjuction with silocone. Orings will shrink and flatten over time, causing them not to seal well anymore.

thats what I was thinking Mike. I think I may of over tighten one tho when I was installing the SS bolt kit. gotta take it apart and have a look I rekon.
I wish I still had that pic of my old 200x and the liquid steel job I pulled on the intake that time. funny chit! Wont do it to this one tho. I love this bike!

but for a note, they were always leaky for me too. no visible drips, just the dirt/dust acculmination around the caps

or you can take the cap down to the local auto or ace hardware and search through their o-ring section and get a new set of rings for about $2.25.
that's what i did on my 200e. ;)
p.s. no they do not come with a top end kit.

350X's have oval seals on the rocker covers, not like the 200cc o-rings.
