If your refferring to 8bees (Bonner's) I was under the impression that it has been shut down to atv's for a while now. (unless you have a membership) and paragon has been closed for probably a year now. I havent been riding up on that side of town all summer so I dont really know for sure. keep me posted as I'm only 10 minutes from there.

Well yesterday didn't work out very well. I had some starting issues with my son's quad so I had to cancel out on skippy (sorry again buddy). We did however get to go out all day friday so I'll post up some pics and vids of that ride sometime today hopefully.

Not sure when I'll get to head out again. with deer and bear seasons coming into full swing I think the only weekend to try and plan something will be thanksgiving weekend (can ride both saturday and sunday that weekend)

All those pics I've been posting are from Hazleton. ;) As far as I know... 8bees has been closed off for a few years now (unless you pay for a yearly campsite).... but I've been riding more on the opposite side of town. these pics are out towards weartherly/beaver meadows. but alot of land has been shut down because of that darn Rails 2 Trails,,, and strip mining.

Anyone has anywhere else to ride I'm game.. I just dont have the cash to get into places like rausch creek,, etc...

They turned some old railroad beds into hiking/walking trails.... Now it's real hard to get from point A to point B on an atv.

Whats the full name of the rails to trails place? Is it S S rails to trails?

rails to trails is something our local lawmakers made... it's a hiking/biking/walking trail that surrounds all of hazleton and surrounding towns. (mostly old railroad beds that, until a few years ago were all well marked atv trails)

now beacuse they have all the trails blocked with posts and gates (along with a million No ATV Allowed signs) it makes it hard to get where you wannago on an atv.

We got lost and backtracked and could not find our way off the hiking trails.. even had an old man shakin his cane at me as I was trying to lift my 350x over a gate. lol

We are going through the same thing here with what they're calling "Rails To Trails". We recently lost a trail that was a main artery to several local ride spots. The Town just approved the purchase of a used bridge at taxpayers' cost of $750,000. That doesn't even include the cost to repaint it or install it. It will be used on another section that will shut off a long time used riding area.

If rumors are true the spot behind my house will be next. People have been riding there for 35 years.

This is were we have our rides for our annual Ride and Roast.

If you do a google search for "Rails To Trails" you'll see this is happening all over the country. This means more and more Links and ride spots will be closed off.

Theres one called Snow Shoe Rails to trails in Clarence or Snow Shoe Pa. They allow quads. not sure about 3 wheelers. Maybe they will all start to allow atvs. Check out the link http://www.ssrt.org

These old railroad beds and polelines we've been riding are a nice change of pace. No coal dust!

hey chris i almost have evrythign on the 350x squared away so everythign works right and fixing broken stuff no excuses for a day cut shore the owrst shoudl happen is a flat tire or broken chain! i wont slow us down this time. and let me know when riggel season is over i wanan come down riding and might brign my cousin with someday shell fit ight in with you old guys. ride slow and easy lol

Oh man,, sorry to hear that! We've never been more busy at my work.. but all our orders go overseas.

if nobody is riding saturday you could tag along with me at Rausch Creeks truck section. we could go beat on the 4runner. it has a back seat so the youngun could tag along.

the guy that wants to come ride atv's will be there with his toyota fj55 landcruiser with 35" tires. we could talk about the ride then. he's in his 50's so he is not a real agressive rider.

We went out for a couple hours today and it sucked. Sloppy, sloppy,, sloppy... and freezing cold. :cry: Lyin in the snow, soaking wet, in the wind,, trying put a chain back on the sprockets is not my idea of fun... :lol:

I think I am done riding until we get a good snow pac. or at least until things start drying out a bit. :crazy:

these pics don't really show how sloppy the trails are. snow in some spots... mud and running water in others. I started my day off rite 5 minutes into the ride. Broke through the ice and got stuck in a mud puddle. I dont mind puddles in the summer. Winter is a diffrent story tho. :(

Well at least you guys got to ride, I was broke down in W virginia on the way home from my car parts show at 12:00 and didn`t get towed home till 5 this morning slept in the jeep for 5 hrs with no heat. Any way we will have to get a ride in when we get a packed snow. And Jason if its OK I would ride along at Roush creek in your Runner. I like 4wheeling as much as riding my buggy, if you wouldn`t mind me comin along somtime heck I`d buy you some fuel for the ride

taking your truck in Rausch Creeks truck section there would be alot of new dents and some it would not make the turns. i can't make some with the short 4runner.
