Ok, I need some Friday entertainment until I can get outa this place and twist off.. I wanna hear who's got a ****ty job and why. If you wanna tell me how much you're gonna drink tonight because of it thats cool too. haha

I am a Heat Technician, I wrap a weld on a pipe or vessel with a heating pad, then insulate it. Plug it into the Gensat and someone else turns it on and monitors it. In the last 4 weeks I have done about 2 days of work. I have searched the internert far and wide and watch every movie know to mankind. Aswell as a few seasons of Family guy. If anyone is working in Long Lake, in Alberta and wants to watch a movie on dayshift let me know. We have a trailer here all set up for entertainment and very comfy chairs. lol. Bring a garbage bag. Ran out of them and one window is letting the sun in.

Heavy Equipment Operator, working in Baker Lake Nunavut. I get to go home this coming Thursday! woot!

Got to say its not that bad here, the work is slack, the bosses are laid back...food is just terrible though. I've piled up a full plate and gone right to the trash with it after a few bites countless times. lol

Yes it has been culture shock for dang sure. When I first started one guy said it will take five years to ruin all of your good work ethics and make you useless to the rest of the world. Yes I have I have started working out a little because I am getting soft. I did create a small business called Smith Field Service, I repair all of the equipment for my county road department and take care of a few farmers on Fridays. I only charge $50 per hour that keeps me busy, going to raise rates January.

They are gonna send me out and pay for all yhe classes to become a millwright so it seems like a good deal. Oh well it pays the bills...

I work 40 to 60 hours a week at the hotel front desk. Everyday I get to work around 2 pm with the knowledge that I'm stuck dealing with ignorant people until midnight or later.

The goal is customer satisfaction, but it mainly centers around babysitting.

Instead of a 30 minute lunch, I typically take an hour, go sit at a bar, and drink 5 or 6 pints of newcastle or sam adams blended with woodchuck.

When I head back to work, I fight the buzz that arrives an hour later.

I overcharge people for the rooms we rent so as to secure bonuses for myself. "Oh, a tree fell on your house...I'm sorry, we only have the presidential suite tonight for 279."

at some point I usually lock up the lobby and watch tv on the 60 inch plasma.

if that isn't possible I'm either on here or watching less than reputable videos on my iphone.

I work in tech support for UBS. Its basically just a bunch of guys joking around all day taking phone calls. We do an awesome job and have fun too. Very laid back, and great management. Best of all we only work 32 hours a week and get paid salary. Gotta love the Swed's!

I work for a tree company. Get paid real well!!
It's seasonal. I make enough so I can take the winter off.

I do removals, bucket work, climbing, fertilizing, air spade work, little sales, pesticide sprays. I average under 40 hours a week and love it.

I’ll play.

Well, I work in Force Protection in Iraq. I have many tasks with in that job that all center around keeping people alive. Since I have taken over the job here we have had ZERO fatalities do to hostile action inside the wire on my watch. I put together threat vulnerability assessments, make recommendations to higher on what I feel may me vulnerable areas, and I provide security in an untypical law enforcement form. I also design and oversee the construction of bunkers. I plan and implement tasks and physical protection that negates hostile action against coalition forces and civilian support personnel.
