85 110. BRAND NEW top end, carb kit, lined gas tank, new lines. everything is new and mint. it'll run great for about maybe 10 minutes tops and then will die out. i can get it to barely idle if i blip the gas a little. otherwise it will die and not start for a few minutes. i think the float was sticking because at one point i had gas pouring out of the carb until i tapped it with a hammer. i just pulled it apart and cleaned it like 2 weeks ago AFTER rebuilding it so i dont get it. any ideas on what to check next? pull the carb again and go through it? i pulled the carb again 2 weeks ago because i noticed it had crap all over the outside, like maybe after i gave it a carb dip i didn't rinse it off good enough.

fuel tank vent? next time it happens, pull the tank cap off, or go take the cap off when its cold, fire it up, and see if it dies out

well it's funny because i thought that. i pulled the cap off when it was dying out and it still did the same thing.

sounds like the float is not set correctly, or your needle is not setup right and your screw adjustment could be off.

As soon as it dies, turn off the gas. Then either remove the fuel bowl or drain it if it has a drain screw and at least you can figure out that it's a fuel delivery problem.

definately have to determine if it is fuel issue could be a bad ignition coil
