Was this ride posted beforehand?

I was talkin with my freind Al about heading up there somwetime to meet up and ride with you guys. It's definitly doable if we split the gas and driving. Only thing I'm worried about is that stuid registration thingie you guys have to deal with.

no it wasnt really posted beforehand. wanted to keep bj's like you out.....

Ill let you know about the next one. This one was from late sept that just kept getting pushed back due to rain and stuff to do...

had an absolute blast guys. Couldnt move my knee for a few mins this morning, but now its good as new...

thanks again steve, and glad we didnt have to bail you out for smashing the camera on that guys face then asscrashing him afterwards....

The night ride home was pretty cool. I found my camera sitting on the hood of my truck when i was leaving. duh... so no pics from me this time. but i know fabio and sblt500 have some nice pics.

Anybody got any suggestions on how to wear glasses under goggles? I can't see a cotton-pickin thing in the tight trails and I feel like I'm slowing everybody down.

Awesome vids Matt! I just watch the replay of my baby ahead of a Quadzilla about 30 times! It brings a tear to my eye- I wish our track were a bit smoother, though. Every time I got up to speed It was all I could do to hang on!

do you need glasses to see or are you talking about sunglasses? i have tinted goggles and can see fine everywhere till it gets dark out. you also can get lenses for goggles with a prescription lense in them, if thats what your looking for.

You should always bring 2 tanks worth of gas on our rides. I usually go through a tank and half unless its a real short ride.

Im gonna have to invest in a nice camera for these rides. I dont want any mistakes about these drags races soon to come.

Im all ready for the next one, LOTS of loose bolts after that last ride, engine seems good, I thought i heard some noises in there while I was riding, must have just been choking on some "high grade " oil. It sure does smell pretty though.

I wouldnt invest in a camera for more than $100 for ride pics. Once it gets sand in it -lookout. Mine is slowly dying - the shutter is having issues since i dropped it when KFXs beast rolled down the cliff..

There is a nice drag strip in NH we have all been to. There is also a nice paved drag strip in RI that deepa has access to.

i wouldnt mind having a fwe guys down on a saturday...no more than 5-6 though...parking would be an issue most likely, get abotu 1-2 hours of trail riding in/railroad beds then hit that drag strip a few times

Did anyone see my tail light on the trail on the way back? :mad: :mad: Another part to buy, i guess. My rear brakes were soft on that ride too - need to bleed those. never ends does it....

4Q2 - thats why i dont ride with a skidder. Ruined 2 skidders in 1 year riding the trails of NH. DCs trails are like sand dunes for me..

dads is knee deep in the tecate so i may have some kinda chance with that R of yours.ive got spark now but the water pump seal let go and got coolant into the block.dont know how long it was like that,can it cause any real damage if i didnt run it?replacing bearings and gaskets and going to run it unless you guys say otherwise.

so i should be all set?the kicker was fine when i first got it but dads is sayin its slipping now,he thinks the bearing is sticking.im gonna flush it with oil and see if it frees up.if not it will get repaced as well.think it will be as fast as the R?pull like yours?thanks for the info.

If you flush it with oil it'll probly free up. That's a common issue with that vintage Kawi's. I think mine used to slip when I first got it-

Id replace as many seals/gaskets as possible and flush the bottom end out good. Run it after that and fix it up from there to get it nice and reliable.

Those green machines are fast.

I wouldnt mind some oval track racing in a few weeks......

guys it is not to early to get a flat track/ice set up ready for this winter. pettingill maintains a nice oval on the lake at his house. nice warm garage to work on the rigs and have some beers if someone brakes down. most of you have multiple machines so i wouuld just set one up for the ice and ride the other on the trails.
keep them low and wide. with the turn out you guys are getting we should have no probelm organizing a nice ice event at eddies. plenty of parking also with the grill going and the suds flowing... i cant wait for some snow......

Nope, a blanket party is when you fill a blanket or a pillowcase with rocks and or broken cranks (from people that wear out motors from riding) and smash the hell out of the wannabe halfass riders :D :lol:

Riding means riding, I've NEVER seen your R dirty!! Man, I'd LOVE to shoot rocks at you EDOG!! Even with my 4 poke!! :D

saterday is the day of choice weather wise. we meat at 8am exit 13 off rt 16
its just 1 hour north of there in maine. awesome trails and a great pit..

Just went through all the photos and videos again now that my audio is hooked back up. Man, that was a great ride. :beer Its cool to go back to these threads and see and remember all the action!

We need to setup one more ride before winter to get the rigs out this November. Then its probably a winter Pawtuckaway ride after that when we get snow coverage. So post up some ideas..need a hunter friendly location.

I am trying to figure out some cheap ice sneaks for the R. I got the front tire/rim but not the rears. The duros are too good to me to drill into those...

cant hunt in maine on sundays.
paul you need to get in touch with eddie pettingil he has a nice ice set up for his r.
he has it slammed to the ground for ice racing. looking forward to some winter riding.

Yea, Paul, it is good to go back and check out all the action BUT! when certain members cough, cough,Fabio cough, cough delete a crap load of pics. from their bucket account, it ruins the thread:crazy: shens shens :D
