Did the ATC70 do away with a headlight in later years or was it an option??

I'd love to run a headlight!

As far as i know, they didn't come with a light from the factory.

I have seen after market lights on them.

Heres a pic of one of my 70's with a light added. The light has the on/off switch on the top of it. Works great.

73-74 atc 70s had a lighting option. Basically just the headlight and taillight off an atc90.

Aaaah, thanks guys. I just kept seeing the dam bracket for sale and thought - "whats up with that?"

I'm gonna be an ATC70 uneducated/greenie for awhile!!

On a side note, my local useless dealer wanted 23$ - points, 28$ condensor - Pathetic! They charged me double for 86 200X forks seals too, I had forgotten to order them for the build. They get 87$ an hour four labor, even beadblasting!! Kills me to think about it.................

Cost of buisness huh??

Heck, even "BIKERCHICKLTD" has points, cond and a plug for like 20$ and 6$ to roll it......

That was the headlight unit that was on my 70 when I bought it. I re-used the mounting bracket for my new light. The old one was dented and missing the lens.

If I remember right the 83 or 85 or one of the 2nd gen years did have an optional headlight....but they are extremely rare. Theres a site somewhere that sells an aftermarket 70 light kit.
