HELP Carb settings please...

Hey all. When I got my fat cat the thing would only start on full choke and would not stay running unless I had a little throttle I adjusted the idle screw in and it idles great.

Problem I have now is if I give the bike anything but 1/4 throttle it seems to want to die. No get up and go. I took the the carb off and opened here up. Bottom of the bowl was black so I cleaned it all up including everything I could spray with carb cleaner.

Put here all back together and the same thing is happening:confused:

I have new gas, plug, clean air filter and oil?

I have the one needle on the carb set to two turns out. I'm afraid to go in any further.

Thoughly clean that carb, pull all the jets, needle+seat if you can, set your needle clip in the middle, your fuel screw 1-1/2 turns out, throw a inline fuel filter in, tank is probably full of crap, pluggin the carb again, and, is it blowin alot of black smoke of any sort when you get it up to 1/4 throttle? if that all checks out, i would be checking the valves from there.

Thank you for the input. I pulled everything out and it was dirty and full of varnish:)

Do I add an inline filter after the fuel cutoff?
