down here in Louisiana most people drink either bud, bud light, or miller light.

I drink most of theseon a weekly basis, usually pick one or two for a night and run with it. I honestly don't like beer, but I was poor for a long while and a flat of natty 16s will do most mortals in.

My favorite beers in this order:
Abita purple haze
Abita amber
Abita strawberry lager (seasonal, some good, some too fruity)
Sam Adams Boston lager
Abita turbodog (darker than guiness with a sweet bite)
Shiner black
Modello amber and dark
Redstripe
Killians on tap
Shocktop
Dilerium nocturna
Pabst
Michelob (all kinds)
Natty light
Bud
Carona
Miller highlife light
Heinikin
Guiness
Newcastle
Blue moon
Berry weis
Tequiza
Bud light
Framboise
Woodchuck
Red dog
Milwaukees best light (beast light, bad night!)
Hurricane
Steel reserve
Magnum 40
Miller lite
Coors

You American chaps probably haven't heard of it but my favourite is Harp Lager, its Irish - nothing in this world is more refreshing than an ice cold pint of Harp. I didn't think it was available anywhere outside of Ireland but when I was in Vegas this summer, I went into the Irish bar in the New York casino and they had it on draft! Heres a pic:

The Goat

They have it at quite a few bars around here, I'll have to give it a try.

Take a case of warm budweiser, put it off to the side for six to seven months. Chill and serve. It tastes amazing. Nothing like you might imagine.

When I was in New Zealand The beer to drink was DB draft. Here in the states the best that i've tasted is called yangeling it's made in Pa. and I cant buy it here in Ohio. Day to day I usually drink Michelob light and Bud...y....ser.

Harp is a pretty good brew.
My #1 beer is Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve. Haven't been able to find it around here. It has a smooth robust flavor. Oregon's finest.
#2 Mickeys www.mickeys.com neat sight
#3 Anchor steam.
#4 Rainier
#5 St Paulie
#6 Blue Moon
#7 Tecate (just 4 you kawi guys)
#8 natty
#9 Red Stripe
#10 Bush
#11 all the rest

any ice is gross. If you walk into your grocery store and look at the selection, I've had em all.

I'm really a fan of microbrews. They just taste like wherever they are from to me.

As for beer being fresh, a lot if the time they are right, but buy the freshest bud you can, and don't let the temp change too much for a long time, then drink. It's crisp like a light beer, but there's a lot deeper flavor, almost like a dark beer...

Nothing beats a abita amber with a rare well seasoned steak.

I love Saint Arnolds if i am only drinking a couple. It is Microbrewed in Houston. After about 4, you feel as if you took some pain killers and drank a few beers. Every saturday you can go to the brewery and drink alll you want for $5. If i plan on drinking quite a bit i go with budlight since Saint Arnolds makes you lazy. But, i think i will switch from Bud. Since it is now a foriegn owned beer. I might go to Miller. I think i will have to do some test tasting. I will only drink american beer.

I started out wayyy(!) too young on Canadian beer. My favorite between 13-20-something was Moosehead.

7.1% is getting steep.

Abita andygator, 8 - 14%, it used to vary by batch. One pitcher will bring a grown man to his knees if he doesn't pace himself. I did one in 6 minutes one night, don't remember much else.

Alot of you guys seem to like the old american classics,(bud, pabst, coors, etc) Igrew up watching my dad and uncles drinking that stuff. Theres always a place for an ice cold can of bud. My personal favorites right now are NewCastle, Smithwicks, and trusty old sammy a's. I like alot of the imports and microbrews, but it can get alittle expensive. If I was rich I would probably live on Samuel Smiths, Old Speckled Hen, or Fullers ESB. I'm a mic at heart, but the limeys make the best beer!

So are you the guy that has perfected the 6 pack give away with a 24 beer return? We have all been camping with at least one person who has done this.
Just before getting to a moto-camp ride you stop and get a 12pack of whats cheap. You give away the frist 6 beers to the guys with the biggest coolers just after a ride. This allows the open pass to claim a return beer later on. Just after it gets dark and everyone has got a buzz on(and unwilling to drive). Your 12pack runs out....Now you return to the six guys you gave a beer to and ask: hey I'm out you mind if I grab a beer form your cooler? Once pandors cooler has been cracked it's a free for you program....with six coolers to choose from. 24 min beer return :naughty:

Personally, I drink FCO(Free, Cold, Open). My personal favorite is Budweiser, but the economy has forced me to switch to a cheaper daily drinker which I drink Busch, 5 bucks cheaper per case than Bud! ScottZJ and 86waterpumper have turned me on to the high-dollar European beers and all, and they're all really good too. I think the only beers I've really found I don't like though are the Beast, and the High Life. Natty Ice....used to be ok when it was the first thing I drank in college, now it's pretty rough. Say no the the Natty Splatty's! Haha.....

I cant do lite beer.Tastes like carbonated water, and gives me a raging headache.

If I drank that exotic stuff,I would have to sell bikes.

I used to drink Bud,came with too many free rides on the Porcelian Cadillac the next day though. So I stopped, and I am now saving the environment by using less TP...
And Pabst will give you the SPLATZ!!!!

When I splurge,Corona with lime,Or Michelob (sp) Lager

Start off at 2pm with a 6 pack of 16oz natties. Head to the local restaurant bar around 4:30...eat drink and be merry til 9. and then hit the bar for dollar beer.

I actually live in Rensselaer. I'm guessing your from East Greenbush. I take the railroad tracks out to some trails that lead out towards Nassau, and Schodack theres a nice little race track up there. Also we cross route 4 to Rj Valentes gravel pits in North Greenbush. We use to ride Corellis's sand pits but there a little small and really nothing to do there. I use to own a Tri-z 250 bored 40 over but i came in to some rough times and sadly had to part with it. I eventually will own a 86 350x in the near future. We should get together and ride some time.

holy crap I just remembered that beer RM....you're right it's a pretty damned good brew. slightly spicy if I'm thinking of the right one. Kinda reminded me of a grolsch, without the horrible aftertaste.

The have it down at the local whole foods.

Anyone ever drink the Framboise? comes in a wine bottle....I personally find it too sweet to drink alone, but when blended with a non CLEAR lager it's heaven on earth.

I got a pitcher of Bud Select the other night to go with my wings, and I was downright disgusted. the last time I drank it I was just getting into beer, and I remembered it as having a pretty strong taste...now I realize it's watery and tastes stale.

I don't think beer should ever be lighter than the color of varnished wood...and never darker than coal.

Tecate and Tecate Light are popular Mexican beers named after the city of Tecate, Baja California, where they were first produced. Originally brewed by a local company, Tecate was acquired by Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma in 1955. Tecate is sold in both distinctive red aluminium tins and in twist-top bottles.
