After trying to repair my 83 200e for a couple of years and running into problem after problem,I finally got a Red that run's!!!
I put an add on Craigslist for a motor for the wreck I have and a guy called and said he had a Red he bought at a police auction in Arizona(Elderly guy left to go back after the season and must have passed away,left his camper and everything) and brought back with 4 other's to resale,he got the other's sold but never started on this one.
He was going back for the winter on the 21st and was going to bring 4 or 5 more back again so I could have it for $200.00
I didnt know what it looked like or anything,all I knew was it was complete!
I went to get it Saturday and I couldnt belive what I saw,good plastic,all there,pulled through ect...
I got her home about 4pm and after changing the oil,battery,airfilter,cleaning the gas tank filter and carb and new fuel lines I was rideing around by 8pm :Bounce
She need's tires and a seat cover and that's all!!!
I love Arizona lol!!!!!

Damn jims72,that's weird isnt it?
He was told that an elderly guy never came back to the retirement community to get his stuff,been over 6 years so the sheriff's auctioned it off.
Do you still have the vin #?
