Weekend of Riding in the Adirondacks Anyone?

Been thinking of having a get together here in Up State New York at my camp in the Adirondacks. Its about 20 Miles north east of Croghan N.Y. Check it out on google earth or some stuff. Sleeps a bunch and there lots of property for tents. The camp is over 100 years old and rustic. There is a new outhouse though:welcome: Dont know all the trails but a hundred miles in a day isnt a problem. Lots of Sand and big woods. Lots of dirt roads also. Lots of beautiful scenery and good riding. What ya think?

The Camp is in the South Western Adirondaks. Theres alot of trails and spots to check out. You can ride on the roads still I believe, even through town. I do and it seems everyone still does. Its really ATV heaven up there. Was looking to do a ride if anyone is interested. If memorial weekend isnt good post other dates. I picked that weekend because its long and its in Spring. Good time to ride. The camp is hooked up so dont be scared. ;)

I guess if you bring a quad it wouldnt hurt. None of my Trikes are registered and Ive never had a problem. There really arent many police way up there in the woods and one Ranger for like a million Acres:lol: so its all good. Its really beautiful up there and it really is ATV heaven in the summer. You see and hear rides all day and night. Its the best in N.Y. I think.
Doesnt seem like anyone is really interested though. Kind of was hoping to make this an annual ride once or twice a year.

Hey Fox, How did you get your 350X registered? I dont believe in it but if I have to it will be good to know whats needed. Also we can go anytime. Its 1.5 hrs away 95 miles, the riding is great, some bars around and a stop at the Beer Church is a must. I found a place I named Sand Mountain that is pretty sketchy in some spots, made my nutties shrivel:eek: 350X should be enough power. Anytime you want to go hit me up. Well worth the short trip and the Camp is nice.

I am up for a weekend for sure Gary!!! Kinda hard to plan something that far off tho (at least for me) Give a week or two notice and I'm there. Sure is nice up in that neck of the woods!

My x came with the transferable registration so I just signed it and payed the fee.

I just got a set of 4-snows in and am going to mount them tomorrow so I am ready lol!

I might be up for a ride its a long trip up for me so a camping weekend would be best, just need a few weeks notice so I can get off work, & clear it with the wife.:p

Any time this summer will be good I think. I picked Memorial Day weekend because its a long weekend and its my birthday. List some times that may be good for you all and we will figure it out. Got a Cabin that sleeps a bunch and lots of space for tents. Its beautiful up there and lots of riding to do. Let me know. Thanks

:welcome: Ok, I will let you all decide on the date for the ride. Im off for the summer as far as I know so lets see what dates work for anyone. I can fit about 6-8 in the camp with comfort I think, 10 if I bring another bed. There is plenty of good tent space, campers welcome. :beer The area is sweet and lots of good riding. Registration and insurance is good for quads but I have no clue about old trikes. I only saw a ranger once in the last 5 years and that was last weekend. Jacked us up in the jeep with a bullshiot excuse to look at our stickers on the windshield in a state park area. Let me know whats up so I can get ready, both my trikes are down due to minor things and the quad needs the CVT looked at. Plus I will need to dial in the camp a bit for the crowd and cooking.
I know Memorial day weekend is tough because of family and stuff but its my birthday and a nice long weekend. Good for these kind of events:w00t: :beer

Garry you up for a ride on Saturday? I was talking with some friends last night and we want to ride this coming Saturday (the 23th). I will bring the 350, one guy has a 250sx another guy has a 250 Timberwolf and there might be someone else on a Polaris 500. We just need someplace in the area where registration is not needed (I'm the only one registered).

Ok I just got back from 3 weeks up there. I got a wedding this weekend and then Im going up for a week and a half then I have a week of Beaver Fever. After that I believe im good until Sept. 1st
Lets make plans for those time schedules. The riding has been good and to be honest ive had the trails to myself it seems this year. The only ride I have at the time is my Quad. I think I blew up the Tecate 1 hour after I got it going and the 200X needs bearings. If you want to do some nice riding up in the North woods please post when you want to go and lets organize a nice weekend. I would like for some people to come up and have a good time and do some riding. Maybe do it every year.:welcome:

I'll be on a motorcycle trip August 14 and 22 weekends so those are definitely out for me. If it is another weekend I will try to make it.

I was thinking of heading to Ohio for the Labor Day race this year but haven’t really planed anything yet.

I will still go up for a ride if anyone is interested. I only have my quad running at the moment. I got the Tecate running for about 30 minutes and it died. Im tired of it, never stays running for long and its 100% rebuilt. The 200X needs rear bearings so shes in the barn. I will be up there for labor day weekend and a couple of weekends in late sept and early october for the fall foilage. Great riding up there in the fall. The terrain has it all. Dirt roads, tight woods trails, lots of sand and you can ride on the roads through town so all is well. If it doesnt happen I will make serious plans for next summer. Hope to make it an annual event of camping and riding in the Adirondacks:w00t:

I will be racing the 350x in Ohio on Labor Day but I would be in for a day ride another weekend.
