yeah sorry its kinda a stupid question but i saw the same one about a 86 350x and i was just wondering what mine could do.

Providin' my memory is serving me right, 85's and earlier do about 55 stock, the 86/87's do about 65. Little gear change and engine work and that changes the story completely.

I don't think any stock 200cc x can do 65mph. Can they really?

55 stock? That seems fast to me. My 200x is in pretty nice shape and i used my gps to clock the speed and it topped out at about 40. Granted I have 18" rear tires so thats slowing me down a little but not 15 mph.

I have a jpg copy of a magazine article written on the 200x (believe it was the 1985) that I grabbed off one of the sites on the net (don't remember which) but the reviewers notate an observed top speed of 53 m.p.h., I think the factory at the time advertised 55.

As for the 86/87 models, I have no idea

I had one and it did go 65 mph. But it would only do that while in the back of my truck. Other wise it would only go about 53-57 mph. lol

18" tires are too big? wut's a good size to run then? my 200x came with 22" badboys! :shock: i want some nice small turf tamers or hole shots.

No! 18" is too small because smaller tires give you less speed, witch is why when you fit 44" boggers to a truck the speedo is all wrong....

nah, gravity sucks like that. around 130 mph or so you would hit terminal velocity and wouldn't go any faster. Now if he strapped a jato unit on it he could probably get up to 300-350 mph before it disentgrated around him...
(would be fun to watch at the very least... Maybe we could sell tickets?)
