Most people i have talked to say the k&n breaths better but the uni.... filters better. i personally have a k&n because i have a box so iam not worried about getting stuff sucked into it.

Both are good. Uni is quite a bit cheaper, cost-wise. Personally I use K&N just because I have them installed on pretty much everything I have.

I have an open airbox with my Z, using a UNI. It breaths just fine, and gives me the protection Im looking for.

k&n is better for sand with the outer wear as for the uni the sand can find its way through the foam and dust will dry out the oil on the uni i cant rember witch one is better for mud and water?
