driving down the road a few days ago...... found this for sale in front of an old farmhouse. seller had just rolled it out from the back of his barn...... he wanted $100..... all I had was 60 bucks........ my first 2 stroke trike ( and yamaha, lol!!) stopped by yesterday and he had the original owners manual, shop manual and headlight for me. said it was running great when put away a few years back....... turns over fine.... hopefully should fire up with a bit of tinkering. :w00t:

Sweet. I had 2 of em but they were in pieces but in good shape pieces. lol. I wish I still had em. I could have gotten a nice one of them. A rear suspension kit on one with a Blaster motor would be freakin awesome!

Nice find. You just picked up one of the all time wheelie machines! Do away with the oil injection tank and premix your fuel. Clean your carb up and get ready to have a blast. 5 speed semi auto shifting, 1 down and 4 up. Keep an eye open for a decent aftermarket exhaust. You can pick up a rear suspension kit for them too. Maybe some boysen reeds. You'll definitely be have fun on that. I know I do mine.

not a bad looking yt175 for 60 bucks. i had one just like it, had to sell because it was too fast for it self with no rear susp. my buddys would get scared watching me rip down a bumpy trail with the rear tires 5 feet in the air. i paid 100 for mine, cleaned the carb and blocked off the oil injection so i could use premix. these thing are wheelie kings!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sweet deal for sure. I think that they are 5 speed all up though. No? A good year ATT902 is a good front tire if you keep the original rim. 9" wide.

Veal, I didn't realize they came out with aftermarket rear suspension kits for these...... any chance you could post a few pics of this setup? :naughty:

If you go onto the "search" section above, and type in suspension yt175, you should be able to see pics of several suspension set ups for the yt175. There are 2 or 3 done here already and I'm putting one together slowly as we speak and have a thread on my build on here. Very cool and rare old parts.
