Okay so I put a new jug, valves, and exhaust on my honda 185s. I started her up and after getting about 1/2 throttle, in gear, oil starts spitting out from the right side base gasket. I torqued it all down and tried again, same thing happened. When i put the engine together i used two base gaskets and i guess one of them is blown? The real thing i can't figure out is the my exhaust spits oil out just past the flange where it connects to the engine. The oil spits forward onto the frame. Of course there is lots of white smoke with the oil, could this be caused by the oil i put on everything while rebuilding? Why is that happening? i just put a new piston and rings in so its not like they are worn. let me hear your 2 cents, thank you in advance!

I'm not sure how much help I can be to you, but why did you usse 2 base gaskets? That may be part of your problem-

hmmm, I think I had heard of other people doing it and I thought it wouldn't hurt..apparently not. Really I just don't know about all of the white smoke and the exhaust leak by the flange, I mean it's brand new...idk what i can do

I'd start by taking the cylender off and examining the base and where it mounts to the bottom end. Then use just one base gasket. The other downside to running two is you're lowering your compression slightly.

Okay, will do. Thanks alot! What about using that silicon gasket stuff on the one base gasket? would that be okay? thanks again!

Yeah, you can use that stuff on the base. Just don't use it on the head gasket.

You should only use 1 base gasket. I bet that will fix your problem.
