Hello. Last weekend I bought a Kawasaki Eliminator 250. I am fairly new to liquid cooled bikes. There is a container towards the rear of the bike when I undo the lid there is some green residue which I take it is from some anti freeze. Dad seems to think that this is the reserve tank for the radiator would he be right in saying that if so should I top it up. Also the exterior of the radiator has a bit of dirt on it. What would you clean this off with I havent tried anything yet as I dont know what will be safe to use on it. Thanks in advance.

yep, thats a overflow tank, normally there is a hot and cold fill line, as the bike gets hot the fluid expands and overflows into the tank, as it cools it sucks it back in, generally, to clean the rad take a garden hose at a straight angle and blow the dirt out, be careful not to go at an angle as it will bend the fins and decrease the cooling capacity of the rad.
