The fuel pump on my 85 Tri-z has a small leak in the tube to the cylinder so I bought a rebuild kit. There's nothing in the repair manual about it but upon disassembly it seems to be fairly easily to rebuild. What part actually goes out on the pump and causes the back leakage and is there any important notes about the repair I should be aware of.
Thanks
It is a simple repair, cut and dry.For some reason, They mounted that outside plate in the wrong area,so the words were crooked.I dont know why they did that.
So I just index the cover to the correct posistion, when I do them.It would also be a good time to pull the little petcock bowl off and reseal it.I also use teflon tape on those threads for extra insurance.
Probably, there is a pinhole in one of the plastic membranes that was allowing fuel to get in that line.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but, I tore my tri-z fuel apart and found that the vaccum side diaphram has a hole in it. I looked at oem parts websites and all they had was the hole pump assembly( which most likely not availible). Is there anywhere I can buy a rebuild kit or just the one diaphram?
