Do your research when it comes to gettin your motor rebuilt. You dont want to send a motor to someone and pay big bucks just to find out they took a dump in it and sent it back. I would think places like CT or Trinity would be good if it's a two stroke. If it's a fourstroke someplace like fourstroke tech would be good, but there are many more reputable engine builders. I got a guy locally that does my stuff if it's too difficult for me, but I'm sure someone will chime in on a place to send your stuff.

if you're dropping 900...may as well drop another 200 and get NOS. that's just a retarded price for a 350x rebuild. it costs 160 dollars to rebuild one. 400 to do a COMPLETE rebuild.

$400? Is that parts, or parts and labor?

I didn't read anything about a warantee. Not too many places rebuilding ATC engines that I know of. Good luck. What all gets replaced/rebuilt?

Any place that rebuilds dirtbike or quad engines shouldn't have any problems with rebuilding a trike motor.

that's new valve springs...new oil pump, new valves, new piston, new keepers, gasket kits all around and bearings for the rear end. hell make it 600 and you can get a needlebearing cam too.

Every mans rebuild is different.....

I'm sure those guys are a "production" type rebuild source. In other words, they want to move them! Tear em down, replace whats obviously worn, paint them with spray cans and offer them to the public.

If I rebuilt your motor, it would cost you 1000$ or more. It would be torn down, sandblasted, powdercoated, every bearing and seal replaced, timing chain and tensioners/guides changed, bored, new piston and an option to replace the cam and or vlave springs to work with the new cam.

It's NOT cheap to rebuild motors correctly and you get what you pay for.

I don't offer to rebuild motors because it would be too expensive, and I'm no friggen Curtis Sparks  Add porting and blueprinting to an engine and what are we talking? another 500$ plus??

I can get the mechanical aspect down 100% but I don't know SQUAT about porting. I don't mean "matching" ports, I mean actual porting and on a 2 stroke there is allot of stuff involved as raising or lowering ports affects the power output.

They probally don't really test them out either. At least not under load. They probally just put in new pistons, timing chains, and valves. Spray them with Krylon and send it out.
