what is the differences in 85-89 250r motors? Any differences in trannys? gearing? internal or external differences?

87 up, long rod, 88-89, different 5-6 gear ratios. (lower) 89 roller pressure plate system. grey engine, black engine, 88-89 black cases with raw cylinder. those are the biggest things off the top of my head.
