possible t-3 rebuild in my future.

Ok I found what I think is an 85 tecate 3 frame, swingarm, and triple trees.I think the axle is there too. The guy also has a tecate 4 motor, will it fit the t-3 frame. and if I decice to get the parts what should I look out for any help or insight would be awesome.

The T-4 motor will not fit in the 85 T-3 frame without some serious frame mods. I don't know about how they fit in the 86-87 frames.

The T4 motor will not fit in any year T3... The T4 has a wider transmission and uses a wider swingarm that would not fit a T3 frame. The T4 engine would probably fit into a Mojave or newer 4-stroke quad quite well though..

Yeah you would be better off getting a KX or KDX motor than a T-4 to fit.

along with the transmission being wider, the counterbalancer in the lower front would hit the downtubes on both model t3's. alot fo cradle mods would be needed to make it fit correctly.

Gotcha if i pick it up maybe ill try a kx motor
