I politely sent this guy an email saying the brake shoes are junk.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250341726869

Here is his reply:Sure, ya see what ya get. Please feel free not to bid. Cheers!

I think I would avoid buying any parts from this guy as he obviously doesn't have a clue!:banned:

Ding Ding Ding We have a winner!! They are trying to sell used shoes with no lining for $9.99 that are junk. I think you can buy a new set for less than $20.

This could be a new concept!
Ask does he have the brake drum with brake linings fitted to it. Might work back to front better!

Gives a new meaning to metalic brakes.

Some one new to this sort of thing will buy them. That is what angers me. When some one is just getting started and is learning they find a scumbag like this.

To answer someones question - It is possible to put a new brake lining on those shoes. You need to buy the brake lining material - then drill and countersink some holes in it that line up with some holes you drill in the shoes. Believe it or not - my Dad has relined a couple sets for me before. In the olden days they did this on cars - he has the lining for his model As. But to try to sell them unlined is asinine! As someone else said - you can buy brand new shoes already lined for $12.

Tim,I have done this when I owned a 54 International Pickup. I needed brake shoes and no one could get them, so I had to replace the lining. P.I.T.A.!!!

You could glue new brake material on there as well. Either way could cost you 3+ times what a new set would cost.

I prefer to be called a "3 wheeled American" I find the term "Trike People" very offensive and derogatory!

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream!

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all powersports are created equal.

I have a dream that my brothers will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the number of wheels on their machine, but by the spirit that drives them to consume large amounts of 2 stroke oil, and pop wheelies when nobodys watching!

I have a dream!

Remember, eBay started out as an online garage sale. Ever see anyone selling junk at a garage sale? It's all stuff people don't want anymore. There's junk and scams on ebay all the time. What can be controlled is what happens here in our small community.
