I bought this from a friend of a friend yesterday. The story is that the previous owner used silicone as a head gasket and blocked the oil supply passage to the cam, well you know what happened next. My first 86 is missing both calipers, missing rear wheels, rear shock blown, very poor condition exhaust, I'm using a Mojave kicker, loose rear end bearings with welded on rear hubs and this new bike has all that stuff in good condition. I'm thinking I am just going to pull the motor from the first bike and put it in the 2nd then later on put some rings in it, it's a bit of a smoker. I'm still kinda up in the air on what to do with them but I'm sure I can get a decent bike out of them. Paid $300 for it. The second pic my first 200x with the new ones rear fenders on it.
The guy I got it from has a TON of bikes. Probably around 10 first gen 200x's, he is keeping those. He also has a liquid R and 350x roller and probably enough parts to build 2 Tecates and maybe a few rollers. Tecate stuff he will sell and maybe that 350x roller, I have a spare 350x motor but it needs a head. I have a 85 200x frame with title I made trade him. I may try for the Tecate stuff later on.
And on a side note, I won this auction last night and I think the middle kicker might be 86 200X, if it is that is one smoking deal!

I also won these 450R rear wheels and tires to put on my first 86 200x but now I guess I don't really need them, oh well it was a good deal and I'm sure I'll use them sometime.

The rt kicker is an 86 200X and the middle looks to be a 85 200X.....

Nice score, I was watching them but I've got 7 spares now - time to get help....

Hmm. That would fix my new one without dismantling my first one. I will have to consider that for sure. Thursday is still a possibility. I'll have to check my finances, I didn't really have the money for this one but couldn't pass it up.

dudes i met this seller from online what has hundeds of ATCs they strip and sell online. he's ginving me better than ebay pricing on stuff. he just in a shopment of 200cc pistons theya re slight domed so they are higher than stock 200x come. he said they are simular to the weisco piston heigth so they shoudl be about 10.5:1 and will sell them for like $50 each! (My price is like $42 each and I'm going to work some labor for parts deals out with him)

man, you stole those 450r wheels, im gonna look for some of those myself. i just traded my 83 t-top fox body for a worked 85R, i even let my 347 crank go with it. i figured it was time to give up the road before i killed someone. when i got that 4 barrel kickin power to the 3.73's, my blood turned to gasoline and i just went. i was pushin 400 ponies, and about the same for torque,( when the 347 was in it), the stock t-5 didnt last too long, lol. i wanted to put a paxton in it along with a t56, but like i said, dirt is a little safer for other people, lol. the foxes are def. my fav though .

sorry to ramble, just reminiscing, get one of those x's together, then turn the other into a straight beater as it sounds like it's mostly frankensteined anyway. thats what i would do.:beer

Pretty much exactly what I plan with the 200Xs just not sure how to go about it yet. And you're telling me on the wheels, I can't beleive I got them and the seller sent me an invoice requesting payment so it seems like a good transaction.
I'm off work on Thursday and its supposed to be around 50 degrees (its about 16 right now) so I'll get to work on them. I'm thinking just swap motors for now.
I had my Mustang dyno'd at Anderson Ford 6 years ago and it made 516 rwhp and 491 rwtq. If you figure 15% drive train loss that puts me at 593 horse, 564 torque. That that was with 2.5 inch exhaust with shorty headers. Since then I had the heads professionally ported and added long tube headers and dual 3 inch exhaust all the way out. Those mods should easily put me around 625 horsepower at the crank.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind but for right now I'm just going to get one going then worry about getting a second going at a later date.

I pulled the bottom end and pressure washed it today.
I'm going to put then engine from my first one into the second one for now. Then I'll do rings a little later and maybe worry about finding a top end and get them both going. I really like these things for some reason.
When I do the rings I am going to buy a manual but I had just 2 quick questions. Since the first one had the top end pulled in the frame I'm assuming I can do rings in the frame? One of the studs that runs from the crank case to the head was hand tight so I want to make sure I don't have to pull those. If I have to pull the studs, would I be better off just waiting to install the motor and just do rings now? And second, how much of a pain is it to pull the motor out of the bike? I had to do some manuvering to get just the bottom end out. Oh and is my front fender bent down in the front? I'm used to the 350X that just about sticks straight out and this one sure is curved.
